Stayed for hockey tournament, wonderful hotel, and staff. Nice clean rooms. And in a area with alot of stuff to do. We came in winter expecting there not to be much around. But a mall attached to hotel. Close to a big arcade for kids. Lots of bars and pubs around. Definitely recommend.

I’ve taken a long time to write this review because our experience at the Holman Grand Hotel in early October 2025 was genuinely upsetting and I wanted to be fair and factual.nnDuring our stay, I sustained a significant head injury in the hotel restaurant after being seated at a table positioned directly beneath a low steel pole. There was no warning, no visual cue, and it was an extremely unsafe placement for a dining table. I stood up while engaged in conversation and hit my head hard enough to black out briefly. I was not well afterward and was clearly shaken.nnShortly after this incident, my partner Michael—who was staying at the hotel to attend a conference—began experiencing a medical emergency of his own. Given the circumstances, we asked the hotel if we could extend our stay by just a few hours so we could regroup and decide whether it was safe to travel. We were initially told this would be fine, only to then be abruptly told we had to leave because the hotel was “sold out.”nnThe way this was handled was deeply disappointing. Despite clearly explaining my concussion and my partner’s medical condition, there was a complete lack of compassion and professionalism. At checkout, the hotel manager and front desk staff were dismissive and rude. The explanation given—that there was absolutely no flexibility—did not ring true, particularly as Michael was already there for a conference and we were not asking for anything unreasonable.nnWe attempted to fly home that day despite how unwell we both were, only to find that we could not travel. My partner ultimately had to be rushed to the hospital.nnTo be clear: the people of PEI were overwhelmingly kind, warm, and supportive during our visit. This review is not a reflection of the island or its people — only of our unfortunate and distressing experience at this hotel.nnBetween the unsafe restaurant setup, the medical situation, and the uncompassionate response from hotel staff, I would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to others. There are many wonderful places to stay and eat in Charlottetown; unfortunately, this was not one of them.
We booked one night and had such a pleasant experience we booked a second night . Thomas was so helpful with checking us in and making sure we were well taken care of .nnRooms were clean and quiet . Great location too.nnAlso love that dogs can be left in the rooms unattended if they’re well behaved .
Fabulous hotel. Very new. Exceptionally clean. Excellent respectful friendly staff. Been here many many times and the hotel and staff are consistent with the high standards they provide.
