Incredible Location and Harbour Views, But Needs Modernizing. The absolute BEST thing about this hotel is its location! We walked everywhere, felt completely safe in the evening, and loved being right next to all the harbour activities, boutique shops, restaurants, and pubs. I would honestly stay here again just for the convenience. It was also a huge plus having a car rental service right on site.nnThe hotel itself is a bit old and outdated. Our room was spacious with a great walk-in shower and an amazing view of the harbour. Even though we were located near the elevator, we weren't bothered by noise at all. However, the room could definitely use some touch-ups, like fixing the tears and holes in the blackout curtains. The TV was also a bit finicky and only worked when it wanted to—not a huge deal since we just wanted it for background music while sipping wine before dinner, but still worth noting. Another odd quirk was the lack of an in-room safe, though the front desk does offer to store valuables in the main safe behind the lobby.nnAs for the property, the lobby is large and beautiful. Even with a major conference happening during our stay, it never felt crowded. Most of the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The only exception was one female staff member working the evening shift who seemed completely inconvenienced by simple questions.nnOverall, if you want a perfect home base for exploring Prince Edward Island by foot, this is it. Just be prepared for a property that feels a little dated.
The hotel is amazing. Great location. Super nice staff. The restaurant is absolutely amazing. Top Notch.nnThe only hotel critique; the walls are seemingly paper thin. We unwillingly participated in our door sharing neighbors kid’s bedtime tantrums. The family certainly wasn’t doing anything wrong; we just didn’t really want to hear it. Do yourself a favor and make sure you don’t book a room with an adjoining door unless you really need or want one; or bring a white noise machine. Place it as close to the door as possible.nnThat being said we could have moved rooms the next day but we chose to wait out their departure. But at the time it was a major pain. And the doors need some weather stripping or something so the hallway races are less of a racket.
1 Star — Stay Away. $630 for ONE night and an experience that was nowhere near four-star.nnWe paid $630 for one night and have never experienced such poor service and housekeeping at a hotel.nnOur room had no coffee cream for the Nespresso machine. We called housekeeping, only to be told their phone line was out of order. We then made FOUR trips to reception asking for coffee cream. After 90 minutes, it still hadn’t arrived. I finally went to the manager and refused to leave until someone actually found it. Fifteen minutes later, I finally received it.nnThen I discovered a postcard from the General Manager addressed to the previous guest, still tucked in our room mirror. Clearly, the room had not been properly inspected after the previous guest left. Absolutely unacceptable for a hotel charging $630 a night.nnWe had dinner in the hotel restaurant, seated beside a table where a baby was screaming throughout our meal. We understand babies cry—that wasn’t the hotel’s fault—but after an already frustrating evening, we just wanted to return to our room for some peace and quiet.nnUnfortunately, our room was directly beside the fourth-floor elevators. The constant hallway noise continued for hours. We barely slept.nnAt 4:00 a.m., we gave up, checked out and drove back to Montreal.nnThe hotel itself is old, dated and felt musty/moldy. The online photos are also misleading—the attractive waterfront views are primarily from the convention centre, not the hotel rooms.nnThe restaurant service was slow and inexperienced, parking costs extra, and overall this property does not come close to the four-star experience it claims to provide.nnWhat makes the contrast even worse: we had an excellent three-night stay at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel, which delivered a genuine four-star property with five-star service.nn$630 for this experience? We want our money back. Not sure if we will get it. But we can give a heads up to other people who might want to book this hotel. Be forewarned.nnBook the Marriott Harbourfront instead.
Our stay at the Delta Hotels Prince Edward was exceptional, and a huge part of that was thanks to Kayley.nnWithout us even asking, Kayley took the time to create a personalized itinerary for my family, filled with fantastic recommendations and activities that perfectly matched what we were looking for. What impressed us most was that she did it completely voluntarily and with a genuine smile and enthusiasm that made us feel truly welcome.nnThe next day, she followed up with us to see how everything went and to ask if we had any questions or needed additional suggestions. That level of care and attention is incredibly rare and made us feel valued as guests rather than just another room number.nnBecause of Kayley’s thoughtfulness, our vacation became one of the most memorable family trips we’ve ever taken. She helped us discover the very best of Prince Edward Island, and as a result, PEI has become our favourite destination in the Maritimes.nnThank you, Kayley, for going above and beyond. Delta PEI is fortunate to have someone as dedicated, caring, and passionate as you representing their hotel.
Recently spent 6 nights at the Delta Prince Edward.nLocation - Best location in Charlottetown bar none for hotel's, right on the water front, very easy walk to the shops, restaurant and pubs, Must check out Old Dublin Pub on Thursday nights for their live entertainment duo.nCheck in/Staff - very smooth check-in completed, many staff at the front desk to always help when asked, The Water's Edge on site restaurant had great food, only had breakfast. Happy hour menu does exist between 4 and 6pm. Great staff all over the propertynRooms - had a room on the 10th floor with a water side view. Room was large, does show the odd bit of age but zero issues in the room, housekeeping was offered if necessary for towel or making the bed.nFitness room - Consisted of 2 separate spaces, one had all the cardio gear while the other had weights.nSauna - Located in the men's and woman's change rooms respectively. The sauna is likely the best hotel sauna I have every used, very hot.nOverall - Would not want to stay anywhere else, if you stayed elsewhere you wouldn't be as close to all the downtown action.
