Great location and service but rooms are lacking for sure. Musty smell and new fixtures like shower heads ours was stained and rusty and carpets/drapes are needed. The bathtub was not cleaned well but upon notifying the front desk it was quickly fixed. Main hotel spaces were maintained well, the restaurant and patio were great. Live music outside when we arrived on a Friday was excellent.nnThe rooftop patio was quite beautiful with ample seating and an amazing view. Photos are of the view and sunset from the rooftop.
Just returned from a trip in PEI. Stayed one night here and I have a mixed review. The service was lovely and so was the restaurant. The rooms are very charming but small. I would suggest the larger rooms for a family. Beautiful wood furniture but some cons were a very loud heater/ac and electrical plugs were quite loose. Other than that the location was amazing. I’d stay again but would opt for the larger room next time
Overall this hotel was a great place to stay. A few notes for future visitors though. First, the hotel charges in full ahead of time and I was not informed causing credit card decline. Second, the hotel is old so it can be noisy at times. Third, there's a 15% levy tax I was unaware of. Other than that, restaurant is great, staff is very friendly, and the suite was comfortable.
I would NOT recommend this hotel It is extremely dated. Old worn down furniture, musty carpet, dirty dusty curtains, moldy window frames, small cramped bathroom, bed was so old and soft that you roll to the middle and sank in, so much that it was actually difficult to get out. Only 1 nightstand so if you like water and a place for your glasses and cell phone or you have a cpac it all has to go on the gross carpet. The location is great as you are in walking distance of everything . Can't say much about the staff or other services as we never used them beside to get our keys on the way in and dropped them off on the way out.
I would not recommend this place. The rooms were nice but the heat did not work in my room. And both nights I was there there were events in the ballroom below me first night there was a wedding that went on until about 3 am and second night I think was a birthday party. I called the front desk on the second night to have the music turned down which it was for maybe 30 minutes. If you are going to have guests then you need to make sure the parties know to keep the music down as people are trying to sleep as well as sound proofing the ballrooms. I had an 8 hour drive in and out and needed my sleep which I got very little of. Honestly I think the hotel should refund my friend who was in the next room and me our money as it was not very relaxing. This was absolutely ridiculous and the worst experience I've had.
