What a lovely and well thought out boardgame cafe and space! Filled with cool nerdy decor, a great selection of games to play $5 to sit and enjoy and buy, and tons of events D&D, Magic, Games Designer running throughout the week! They also have a nice selection of empanadas and pizzas, baked goods, coffee, and teas. The empanadas were amazing! Highly recommend checking it out!
Stopped for coffee and discovered another world of fun games and entertainment. Awesome coffee and most gracious service. Helpful & knowledgeable staff who’s totally dedicated to the world of games and play. Loved it. An oasis of games paradise.
The Guild House is simply incredible. Not only can you order drinks and food from their cafe, but what they serve is very affordable and very delicious! Not to mention the staff is extremely kind and will help anyone who's looking for the right kind of game. The decor is rustic, inviting and makes you feel at home. Being able to play board games at their tables and enjoy a nice snack or meal is great. They have a wonderful variety of games to play and hundreds of games to purchase on the store floor. If you're into tabletop games like Warhammer, TGH has you covered from models, paint and brushes. If you want to play Warhammer AOS/40K, there's plenty of nice and I mean NICE tables designed with beautiful terrain on their lower level floor. The low cost of $5 to play at a table ALL DAY is just an incredible deal and everyone I've met while playing is so friendly. Did I mention you can order from the cafe and play? I love enjoying a nice latte while destroying my opponent with bolter fire. To be honest, I can praise TGH forever, it's just that great and I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to play games and enjoy some good food and beverages. See for yourself and you wont be disappointed. It's a great place for date nights and I can't wait to return. I love The Guild House!!
If you are looking for a day to escape and are on a budget, this place provides the perfect haven for it! It has a very cozy, "manor with the fireplace" vibe while being chic at the same time. They were my first splurge in Toronto during the initial student days and I almost didn't want to talk about this place here, because the place could go from this hidden gem to an extremely popular boardgame joint! They have a huge selection of games for all ages and they have also expanded their food menu which means you can spend an entire cold winter day here playing boardgames with your friends. I love this place and the amazing people who run it make it even better!
Our games group loved checking out The Guild House! Fun & cozy space, friendly staff, and great food. We will be back :
Super comfy space, not too loud or chaotic as some gaming spaces can be. Great food, friendly staff. Will definitely be back. The game collection is solid, too, with a mix of classics and new releases!
Fantastic spot for gaming hangouts. It has a great selection for purchase and to play and a cafe-like back section where you can play at a table, or get comfy at the couches. Super homey.
First time checking the store out this evening. The staff were all really nice. The space is comfortable, large and well thought out. The people I met playing commander were super chill. Looking forward to next week!
The Guild House is cozy and welcoming and fun. Jason helped lead our kid's board game party and they had a blast. Staff here are friendly and accommodating. Glad this is in my neighbourhood.
I'd never been to this place before and it was beautiful! Loved the decor, the atmosphere and it had a pretty good game selection. However our service experience was negative. Nobody asked if we wanted to order anything, no one helped us with questions about the games, and when I did ask for something a pen for one of the games I was made to feel like I was bothering them. At the end of the day when we were leaving we thanked them and although she was right there the owner didn't even bother replying to us. Perhaps we just came on a bad night but it definitely negatively impacted our experience.
