Great discovery, Authentic Bolivian Salteñas Empanadas on steroids I only can compare to empanadas made in Bolivia, the chef really made a huge effort to make them like in Bolivia, beef, chicken and vegetarian available highly recommend beef ones Nice people, nice service, super clean and huge smiles. The food is super tasty and fresh, is a must try no regrets. They also serve empanadas and good coffee, take out available, frozen available jus follow the instructions to re-head the salteñas. Will be back very soon
Stopped in here for a snack during Salsa on St Clair before the dance lessons. The chicken saltenas were juicy and full of flavour like chicken pot pie in a dumpling, and the alfajores were the best that I've had. Will definitely be back again!
Salteñas were spectacular, chicken, beef were amazing with a slight sweetness to the dough that incases them. The Alfajores were also light and freshly made, brought me right back to South America. All served in a biodegradable containers, very eco friendly.
Tried the beef Salteña followed the instructions of biting off the top and drinking the yummy hearty broth inside and then towards the end of my yummy salty sweet vessel I found a delicious and unexpected black olive surprise! My heart melted ps the lhama collection is also adorbs
Fantastic Salteñas like empanadas - patties no comparison though because these are baked with a traditional old style recipes, are unique, tasty and juicy. Service was awesome, place is Cousy, food is fresh made by the owner and most important they do not use MSG. I rarely place a comment, and never give 5 stars to no one. Truly deserved start to finish a great experience to keep coming back
Best saltenas north of the equator!!! You need to try this. No compromises on flavors and preparation. You can eat them there or order them hot or frozen. Vegetarian options: They have excellent vegan saltenas, with mushrooms. Well worth trying with an Inca Kola. Parking: Parking on the street. Was available when we went.
I experienced an unprofessional and amateurish service that deserves zero stars! During lunchtime, i was the only customer at their counter. I ordered a Yuca bread and 2 of their saltenas. Only after accepting my payment, I was advised that it will take 15 minutes to prepare my order. A bit sneaky. I saw that my order was placed in their oven and advised the cashier that I will be back to pick it up. As you can see from the photos, their display case is empty of prepared products. I came back 25 minutes later and asked to pick up my order. The cashier went back and came back advising me "we were too busy and did not have time to prepare your order"!!! I was advised that I will have to wait 15 minutes. No apology whatsoever and no explanation as to what they did with my order which I saw being placed in the oven. I told the cashier that I was not willing to wait and wanted a refund of my payment. She did not seem to care and just went to the cash register and gave me the refund; again no apology whats over!. This is NOT a big and busy restaurant and their lack of professional standards and minimal customer service is unacceptable; this especially on a busy street with so many good restaurants in the area I found this very unprofessional!
I agree with the comment already made about the Sultanas being Empanadas on steroids! They are so delicious and you have to eat them holding them upwards so that the juices don't spill out. But the juices are very delicious. The cheese bread is really delicious as is the Yuca bread. The staff is really super friendly everyone was wearing masks for safety. The front entrance has a ramp so it is accessible but the door entrance might not be as wide, just how the door is. The owners have made the Ambiance really nice and really beautiful decorations. Highly recommended as a new delicious spot in St Clair!
Amazing! So great to see a hidden gem that's steps from my home. The owners are super kind and the food is all hand made and authentic. Pickup a coffee and a Salteña of any kind I love the beef and you won't be dissapointed. 5 out of 5!
Tanya’s food is delicious, I tried the beef salteña, cheese and yuka bread and they were all really tasty. I recommend them all.
