Flying Fish is an incredible restaurant that offers high-quality seafood dishes with a unique twist. The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with friendly and attentive staff who are always willing to help. The menu is extensive and features a range of sushi options, from their signature omakase sets to their classic sushi tacos. The food is always cooked to perfection and the flavors are bursting with freshness. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. Overall, Flying Fish is an enjoyable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious sushi in a welcoming atmosphere.
Great restaurant for sushi, came here with a friend to try their taco sushi. We ordered the salmon original and spicy sashimi taco. Absolutely delicious! We also got the sushi platter and torched scallop and eel sushi. The fish were fresh and the taste was spot on. Would definitely come back to try other items on the menu.
Glad we made a reservation cuz once we arrived the place, was pretty much full! The food itself, was okay the sushi didn’t really stick out to us - the thing we came there for was for the sushi tacos so that was pretty tasty! I think maybe we ordered a little too much food, so we didn’t think it was super enjoyable our fault. Something that really stuck out to us, was that everything seemed so oily especially the oshi sushi … overall don’t think we’d come back unless it’s for the tacos but not worth the trip just for the tacos! The only upside was that everything was fairly priced so we may have went overboard on the apps!
A small restaurant with a Japanese fusion menu. Their food was very good with good service as well. I really liked the fried unagi scallop dish and the tacos, which was very filling and held together really well given the nori was a bit fried to keep the structural integrity and to get a little bit of a crunch. The fried chicken is Chinese style and very tender and the pressed sushi was decent too. Overall pretty good but a bit on the expensive end.
Went here for the first time and have to say the food and service is amazing. Flavours were on point. Started of with two nori taco's then ended up ordering a third yes that good. For the mains had a twelve piece sushi plate which the waitress was kind enough to explain all the items. Presentation of food was nice.
Highly recommend this place! The price may be a bit higher than other sushi places but they serve extremely high quality sushi. It is totally worth the price and I’m extremely satisfied with my experience today. The restaurant is very clean and spacious with trendy k-pop playing in the background. Most importantly I loved the energy of the servers!
A small and cozy Korean establishment specialising in sushi and Korean food. The seafood carbonara pasta is AMAZING. The tacos and the sushi were great as well! The dining experience was unique as you can place your order through a QR code on the table and pay during the ordering process. Also, the customer service was great! Definitely re-visiting this place with friends to try other items on the menu!
Delicious and fresh sushi. My favourite was the sushi tacos and the dragon royal roll. Service was good, staff was friendly. Restaurant is not super big so making a reservation may be a good idea.
Cute place with fresh sashimi - what a great combination! I ordered takeout on a Saturday just before 3:00pm as they close from 3-4 each day and had to drive 45m to get home before I can enjoy the meal. I was surprised that the salmon tacos were still crunchy upon arrival at my destination, even my 5yo ate one and he’s never had sashimi before. The salmon taco had chunks of tuna belly, crab salad and masago, paired with a crunchy and savoury seaweed ‘taco’ shell. I ordered 3 of those tacos and 1 beef bulgogi one for my husband who doesn’t eat raw fish. The karaage chicken thigh pieces had a light battered and was coated in a honey glaze without being too sweet or soggy - everyone enjoyed these. Sushi box A was super fresh, flavourful and not fishy whatsoever, you can tell that they only serve the freshest seafood - my favourites were the spot prawn, scallop and squid. And lastly, I ordered the Special Chirashi Don which was the chef’s choice of fresh seafood over rice - the presentation on this was on point. The seafood served was similar to what was in Sushi Box A. This place is located on Hwy 7 right by Time Square and Commerce Gate. It’s a small place, but the quality is excellent. I will definitely be back!
Great sushi restaurant. Reasonable prices. Arguably comparable with some of the omakase restaurant, especially ones I have tried downtown, and definitely better than your average all you can eat sushi restaurants. The quality of the fish was good, almost zero fishy taste. We ordered the 20 piece set, plus two pieces of Ikura from their a la carte menu. Would definitely recommend.
