The Explorer Hotel

I've stayed at The Explorer numerous times and have always had a great experience. I had a few issues with my reservation this time around but, William, who works at the front desk was amazing. He helped figure out some errors with my current and future reservations, explained everything to me and fixed it all. Thank you, William. Your assistance and friendliness was greatly appreciated. You really are great at provider exceptional customer service.

Decent hotel for location. Very old and needs an update but rooms are spacious. The mattress was far too soft my back still hurts a week later. Bathrooms are very small. Has a very functional gym! The restaurant at the hotel was excellent. Best food in town.

We traveled in late February in hopes of viewing the Northern Lights. We found the room comfortable, clean and with a good view of Drake's Lake. The service was excellent and the food in the restaurant was delicious. An especially great breakfast server was Charito. She was ready with coffee and helpful suggestions.

Loved this hotel and especially the staff. Great dining experiences and the rooms were lovely. My one complaint is that the fitted sheets were too small for the mattress and kept coming off. Otherwise our stay was perfect.

The room are nice and the restaurants are both good.nI gave 3 stars because its the the first time it happened. I travel for work and have 3 bins with me. I asked at check in if its going to be a problem and / or should I book something else. I was assured than everything was fine.nWhen the shuttle came, the bus driver on feb 7that 9:20 was pretty rude. Said I have no room, next bus in 1 h!!!
