The Explorer Hotel

Had a wonderful stay at the Explorer Hotel! The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. They were very attentive to guest needs and did everything they could to improve my stay!nnMy room was great and had a spectacular view of the lake! Lots of things to see and do within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel restaurant is spectacular with all kinds of options.nn10/10 recommend the Explorer Hotel.

I stayed here as a result of a flight cancelation by WestJet. The rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable. The check-in was super fast and the lentil soup and sandwich in the tavern was delicious.nnMy day was terrible due to the travel issues, but ending up here was a blessing in disguise. I would totally recommend this hotel and stay here again next time I'm in Yellowknife.nnThanks to all the wonderful staff who made me feel welcome and comfortable!

Room was well equipped, not as clean as I would have liked it. A little run down, but honestly I slept fine, the shower was hot but I would have liked a tub mat for safety.

Wonderful hotel with a nice lobby. Free shuttles to and from the airport. Our suite was great with separate living space, another half bath, mini fridge and microwave. Decorated tastefully.nUpscale restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. We shared our dinner and had a dessert... it was $90+. Breakfast buffet $25pp.

Been staying at this hotel when in YK for several years. Clean and well maintained. Hotel has a newer addition so the rooms in half the facility are more modern, specially the in-room washrooms. Nice restaurant and hotel bar and only minutes from downtown restaurants and shopping, cafes. Close to Legislative Assembly property for walks and walking trail just footsteps away. I great evening stroll to 'Oldtown' where you can take in Great Slave Lake, float planes, floating lake homes and the deliciousness of Bullocks and the Woodyard micro brewery.
