Quality Inn & Suites Yellowknife

No parking made it very difficult coming from edmonton, fan in room did not work at all and AC machine with Fan option was super noisy as a bearing was failing internally. Rooms were okay but very run down and used. Staff was super nice and very polite though, made my stay tolerable and let me park in front of doors due to the larger vehicle I was in service truck. Due to no parking and room condition I would not stay there again unless it was my last option.

Stayed here for 5 nights in October. Chose it based upon location, which is amazing. Pretty much anything that one needs is a short walk away restaurants, souvenirs, grocery, pharmacy, etc.nnDuring those 5 nights we did not see the maid once. Needed to go to the front desk for garbage bags, fresh towels, toilet paper, etc. We survived.nnRooms are dated yet functional.nnThere is absolutely no parking at this hotel, but you can get free street parking passes from the visitors' centre a short walk away.nnI would stay again if for a shorter trip.

First the lady working when I checked in was great, she lent me her charger since I forgot mine.nnNo parking for the hotel, you have to park on the street. At 9am you have to move or pay for parking. If you work till 4am you need to deal with parking at 9.nnIt is a downtown older hotel in not a great area.nnThe portable AC unit exhaust hanging out the window. You can’t close the window properly if you wanted to because it is disconnected from the closing mechanism.nnRoom doors are alarmed so if left open they start beeping, this happened at 6am in the morning after an unrestful night.nnWalls are paper thin and if anyone is talking in the room next to you, you can hear every word especially if they are louder. This happened from 1:40am-3:30am.nnThe mattress really needs to be changed.nnI didn’t do an inspection of the room including the bed when I checked in. I’m the morning when I was looking for my phone, a pillow flipped over and there was blood stains on the pillow. That pillow case should have been tossed out. This makes me wonder if my bedding was changed between guests or was the bed just remade.nnThe only reason I gave it a 3 is because of the lady when I checked in, and the lady in the morning when I checked out making things right regarding the issues.nnSorry Quality Inn, I still recommend going to one of the hotel.

Hotel is old, room smell and not clean. No water provide. Area is in downtown which yes can access to other places. No air conditioning, but the portable AC which no place to put the hoses unless you open the windows and drop the hoses there . It so loud not sure if anyone can sleep with that noisy AC. I need to open the windows to let the air flows as room really smell. Floor is dirty, wall with stain. Homeless around the area. No seats in the lobby.nnI was afraid of bedbugs but thanks God there is none.

Stay somewhere else. Homeless area, street metered parking only, rooms and hallways smell. Rooms are small. Bathroom light switch flickering wiring issue fire hazard. Unloading area was even closed. Had 2 nights booked. Left after 1. Garbage left in the room. Couldnt pay me to stay here again. Mattress stains indications of bed bugs and someone elses hair in the bedding, pictures attaches.
