brand new beautiful lobby! As well we are undergoing changes in all of our rooms

Small yet clean budget style accommodation. Fine for a night or two. Loses a star because the the walls/floors aren't as soundproof as I like.

We (6) stayed between Christmas and New Year's and enjoyed our time in Yellowknife. The hotel went through renovations recently so it is modern and comfortable. The suites have kitchens in them which is really nice. The largest rooms accommodate 4 adults. We ran in to an issue where we were able to book one room for 6 people but they don't have any rooms that can handle that many. Luckily, the hotel wasn't sold out so they offered another room to us. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The wifi doesn't work all the time, which can be a bit annoying if you don't have a good cell phone plan. It you need spices, etc. for cooking there is a common area for sharing. There is also a laundry room and meeting room on site. Next time I visit Yellowknife I will probably be staying here again. Really the only issue was the wifi, hence 4 instead of 5 stars.

The staff are kind and respectful but that's where the good things to say end. The heaters shake violently on start up and shut down and the shower in my room was constantly leaking. There is also no quite hours policy from what i can tell so expect lots of noise at all hours of the night. Informing the front desk won't remedy it since there is no policy governing it.

The room was nice, but the front desk staff did not seem interested in helping out.
