Chateau Nova Yellowknife

Rooms are generally clean. Warm water supply was not very stable. I stay three nights, first night was like warm water, second day is like body temperature so a bit cold. Third day I got a warm to hot shower after aurora viewing which is great. I guess u just need to find the right timing to shower lol. Location is like 5-6 mins walk to city centre but you d feel longer than that because of the cold. Didn’t ask for room service but the front desk is helpful.

Decent hotel. Hallways on the first floor are cold and have a distinct smell. Restaurant is below average. Water is cold after coming back from an aurora watch so don’t shower at night. Fairly clean rooms with comfortable beds. Helpful front desk staff

Château Nova Yellowknife offers a decent and pleasant stay overall. We stayed in their executive king suite and found the experience quiet and comfortable. The room was clean, very spacious, and well maintained—exactly what you’d expect from a good 3.5–4 star hotel.nnParking was convenient and hassle-free, and the location is great—easy to get to and well situated for getting around Yellowknife.nnThe staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and I didn’t encounter any issues at all, which made the experience smooth and stress-free.nnOverall, Château Nova Yellowknife delivers a comfortable, reliable stay with good service and a convenient location. A decent option if you’re visiting Yellowknife.

Overall I would recommend this hotel to those visiting Yellowknife as the positives outweigh the areas for improvements.nnPositives:n- Great service from the staff at the front desk, we found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Easy check in/check outn- Comfortable bed and well equipped room kitchen, washer/dryer etc.n- Location is close to downtown, Prince of Whales Museum, Shoppers Drug Martn- Shuttle to and from the airport was on time and comfortablen- Dinner service at the restaurant was good, good portions and lots of selectionsnnAreas for improvement:n- Housekeeping was lacking, did not come some days and the couch and living area was visibly dirty with crumbsn- Breakfast service was slow some days, the a la carte menu is very limited and the portions are small. The a la carte menu was better than the buffet.n- Some rooms are far from the reception and you need to do alot of walking

This was our first time in Yellowknife and we were a bit nervous about the remoteness of the town and the quality of accommodation. Happy to say, we were pleasantly surprised at how nice Chateau Nova is. Very well appointed, super comfortable and has a great restaurant. with a good number of vegetarian options. The staff were superb.
