We encountered a RIDICULOUS situation with this place!! Our booking from 2-6 Sep 2023 got NO refund at all due to the wildfires situation where we can’t travel to Yellowknife. The government announced only to let residents to return on the 6th Sep, and we got full refunded from Air Canada for our flight tickets, as well as the day trip tour.nnAlthough this is a non-refundable booking which is same as flight tickets and the day tour. Well others decided to give flexibility just like COVID but not this place! THIS IS NOT UNDER OUR CONTROL, we are also very disappointed of not being able to see aurora lights during our booked holiday.

Travel Nightmare: Host's Inflexibility Leaves Guests Stranded Amid Wildfire ChaosnnWe booked accommodation for the dates 8/30-9/03. However, due to the wildfire threat in Yellowknife, the government had to issue an evacuation order, preventing us from traveling to Yellowknife. In this emergency situation, we attempted to contact the host more than 10 times to discuss rescheduling, refunding, or other negotiation options.nnUnfortunately, the host did not provide us with a proactive response or assistance. Even with flight cancellations, they insisted on us paying the full amount, totaling $1,831.48. This has left us extremely disappointed as we had no control over the local emergency situation, and we felt very helpless in this regard.nnWe hope that the host can reconsider their policy, especially in similar emergency situations, to provide more assistance and options to affected travelers. This is crucial for building a trusted accommodation ecosystem.

This house is very nice and it had everything we needed during our stay. I would say that it is as advertised but I would clarify for future guests that if the house is fully booked you could have a small town house with 9 people in it. Including myself and my husband there were 6 people in this small house and it was quite full. Considering it is not significantly cheaper than the hotel down the road I would probably choose to book the hotel next time. Especially since the tour shuttles all pickup at the hotels, we found ourselves walking 10-15 minutes in the cold to the hotels each way for our tour pickups.

The best house and the best guest!!!nMy friends and I spent 4 days in Aurora Deluxe and everything was perfect.nRamina and her husband are amazing and they have the best tour/hunting.nThe house is very clean, confortable and the view is perfect.nnI would like to come back one day!

Nice place but needs to be more clean. There was some garbage that need to be looked after. The pricing was good and everything seems fairly new. I would appreciate if you clean up all things before renting it out. The duplex has 3 rooms. We got lucky as there was no one occupying the other rooms. However, it will be a crowded place if all 3 rooms we really occupied as the bathroom, kitchen and living space is shared and is very cramped.
