The Cube Hotel

The rooms were clean and there was a heater/AC/fan option for you to control which was nice. It advertises itself as a "boutique hotel" but it's more of a hostel set up with showers in a separate room and just a tiny toilet in your room. It does have a self serve free continental breakfast although I found their much advertised waffles to have an odd tangy taste and they were pretty soft in the middle. I suggest grabbing some toast instead! Overall, can't complain, it was perfectly reasonable for the price.

A no frills hotel with a difference. Kind of like an upmarket youth hostel. It is good value, close to town. Perfect if you don't mind having to share a shower. There is a communal area and kitchen but we didn't use them.

Awesome place to stay for a night or a weekend. Feels like a micro hotel and a hostel community environment. Super clean (even shared showers!) and staff are friendly. Access to a free and close aquatic fitness center and gym. Free parking. Walking distance to restaurants and bars and main street. Decent breakfast - fruit only as gluten free options - bring your own breakfast. Definitely recommend.

I needed a place to stop on my way from Surrey, BC back to Alberta. I found this hotel on Trivago and it was a reasonable rate. It's a fancy hostel and by that I mean the rooms are small and it has common areas for people to relax in and possibly chat with other travelers. They have a self-serve breakfast that was good with lots of choices and it was great to meet new people from all over. I would definitely stay there again. The pic is of a wall in the breakfast room.

Very pleasant stay at a very reasonable price. It was quiet and breakfast was tasty. The common lounge really encourages interaction with other guests in a relaxed atmosphere that feels more like a home than a hotel. Oh, and take advantage of the free pass to the local aquatic center!
