The views from our king suite were absolutely breathtaking. Watching the sunset over the ocean from bed will be memorable. The one downside was the train going by our window 4-5 times during our night/morning. We were awake multiple times during the night. The staff was fantastic; very polite and courteous. We had breakfast at the restaurant and the food was fantastic. We had a couples massage and have never been more relaxed. Great experience all around.

This is about as good as it gets for Bellingham. The views are really nice. The restaurant is great. The happy hour is great. Nice place.

We've always had a very pleasant time here. The wait staff is right on it, but not hovering. They are friendly and very accommodating. They know their stuff. Just right! The view is lovely. The food is very good. The burnt cod fish tacos are always a good choice. Overall, an example of a vanishing breed of gracious, excellent restaurants proving a consistently pleasurable experience.

Room & Service - Fantastic
Spa - Excellent
Restaurant - Mediocre, overpriced
Rooms are some of the nicest I've ever seen: amazing views, fireplace, window seat, awesome tub and shower with a view out the window. Service was impeccable.
Wi-Fi was unusably slow... Dial-up speeds. The front desk told me they were hoping to get faster internet soon.
Trains go by all night but it wasn't a problem for us... Might be an issue if you're a light sleeper. Bring your own bath bubbles/whatever for the giant 2 person tub... The products they provide are unreasonably expensive.
Restaurant was so so. The food was good but priced about $10 higher than it's worth. I suppose you're paying for the view, but the food was disappointing given how high-end the rest of the experience was. I'd say the food was comparable to Olive Garden or a little less and should be priced accordingly.
We'll be back, and we'll go to the restaurant for happy hour... But we'll go into town for meals.

I nannied for a family who stayed here. My review is based on my interactions with staff and room conditions. This is a fairly expensive hotel, so I have some fairly high standards. Below are some of my complaints:
- The dog (possibly a doodle) at the front desk was untethered and jumped on one of the children multiple times because the child was excitedly jumping up and down in the lobby. The person at the desk was not able to call the dog back after the first incident. PLEASE NOTE: I work with kids and dogs for a living, I know both are unpredictable. But if you say that your dog gets excited around kids and you KNOW this, consider keeping the dog in a smaller area so that it does not potentially knock over a small child. I did ask the child to have a calm body because obviously the dog was not under control.
- I called ahead to order room service to be sent to the room at noon and did not receive it until past 12:30, even after a call around 12:15 pm and a reassurance that it would arrive within the next few minutes. The food ended up being soggy when it arrived. I know lunch is a busy time, but that's the whole point of pre-emptively ordering room service.
- The curtain in the room actually came off of the ceiling/wall.
- There was no consistent protocol for DVD rental and staff gave me different instructions each time we tried to borrow a DVD.
They get 2 stars because it is a beautiful location. Otherwise, I would not pay that much money for such poor service.
