Absolutely Divine food and service at this restaurant. Granted we went on a weeknight, so it probably wasn't as busy as it would be on a weekend but it was wonderful. I do not remember the name of our server but he was kind and attentive but not overbearing. I was so happy to be somewhere that actually knew how to cook scallops correctly. Just a lovely experience, thank you. I shall be returning!

2nd time here. Im town for work and I just eat in the bar. Got the special tonight and wasn't impressed. Surf and turf, meat was tough and shrimp undercooked. Last time here I was happy with the prime rib sandwich and a wedge salad. Place has some character but kind of a musty smell. Will probably come back and try the prime rib again

I like this place,it feels good. Oh the happy hour starts at 5pm rather than the more common 4pm. Their house wine is very good(my particular favorite)with a great pour. The food offerings are more interesting than standard happy hour bill of fair. I had crabcake sliders yummi. Dirty Dan's is a legendary Fairhaven restaurant,one might say iconic. It lives up to its reputation.

Tremendous atmosphere. Warm, friendly staff. Excellent service and outstanding menu selections. It is at the top of my list for places to eat in Bellingham.

Upon entering, I can't help but feel out at ease due to the dim, cozy setting. Every time I have been greeted by a smiling, friendly hostess who is eager to help me get seated. Once seated it is only moments before a server is there ready to grab my order of drinks, which are always promptly. Overall the service I have the service to always be outstanding.
All the food is amazing, but the steak takes the blue ribbon for sure. If anyone doubts the food here, I have a hard time believing they had the steak, or they are the type that eats their steak well-done (waste of steak).
Overall a very well put together restaurant! The prices are a bit expensive, but the quality of food and inviting atmosphere make it more than worth it.
