Thank you Dr. Annick for your practical actions and thank you for helping me and sponsoring me after the operation. All I can say is that we are very lucky to be able to go to such a wonderful hospital. It was a very friendly environment and the staff was incredible.Great hospital! I have yet to have a negative experience here. Thank you again.

You're taking a serious risk sending your child there. Extremely hazardous spreading of contamination, scheduling nightmares, improper use of PPE and constant lack of proper communication between departments. Go to Sick Kids in Toronto if it's anything you don't want mishandled.

The worst hospital and medical reseach center ever. Doctors has no idea what they are doing.Very low level of knowledge. They can't dignost the problem with these sick kids. After 5 hours waiting the lady doctor aajer her supervisor to come and hell her. The supervisor also couldn't duagnost the problem and she said go and see your family doctor. Very long waiting time and by the end of they tell you it is a Virus we don't give you any mdication. Anyway we took pur son to our family doctor next day morning and she said your son has sinusitis infection. She gave him antibiotic and he got well. Canadian government must look in to the healthcare system in Ottawa and send all the doctors for refreshment courses to McMaster Hispital in Hamilton for more training. McMaster university and McMaster children's hospital in Hamilton are the best in CANADA.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about this hospital after my second visit. My first time at this hospital with was with my daughter she was treated for pneumonia, we had no issues at all I brought her in and she got treated we were sent home and told that if her cough got any worse to bring her back in. Three days later I brought my daughter back because she was coughing up blood, we get up to registration and they ask her some questions, asked me some questions and I am informed at this time that if she needs a procedure done I am not able to sign for her. I am told that this is the hospitals policy because I am not her father and because I have not adopted her I am not able to give permission for her to receive any procedures whether it be a life-saving procedure or not. I have been this little girl's father since she was in diapers and in just a couple of months she will be 12 years old, I love her as if she's mine and we don't talk about her not being mine, we don't discuss that and in fact this is the first time ever we've really had anybody else bring it up to us. My daughter looked at me with an odd look and said but you are my dad. We were both really caught off guard by this and we were humiliated. We live 2 hours away from this hospital and if mom was home with the other three children like most other nights someone needs to see a doctor and I was not allowed to sign for her to have a procedure done if she needed one what would we do? this is ridiculous. I am this little girls stepfather yes but I love her like she is my own and she loves me like I'm her dad, she doesn't know much of a world without me and I wouldn't want a world without her, I feel the hospital policy needs to be reviewed and changed, this was all needless humiliation.
