The Charles Bar, located in the historic Woodward’s building, represents a cornerstone of the city’s heritage, renovated to become a new cultural epicenter for the young and trendy Vancouverite. Been here multiple times for lunch and it’s generally quite good. They have lunches for 10.95 and they are really good. I had the Cajun chicken and it’s super tasty. My friend had the fish tail sandwich and he said it was like a high end fillet of fish sandwich. My other friend got the regular burger off the more pricy menu as they don’t offer a meat burger on the cheap menu. He really really enjoyed it. The salads are also well thought out and delicious. Not your basic green salad on the side. Overall great price, quick, and yummy. Good location too. They also make a very good Caesar.

I have been here a few times and service can be mixed. There's this one instance when we waited close to 20 minutes for our bill. Food is average and drinks are good. Try the Nachos - they are one of my favorites at Charles. Veggie burger is great too.

Went there for a Raptors game. When we got there, our reservation was taken down at the wrong time...but, luckily we still were able to get a good seat. Though it was not busy, it took about 15 minutes to take our drink order, and longer for our food order. Food was good and vibe was awesome for the game. Only downside was the service.

Popped in on a Tuesday night. Catherine was a great server. $3 drafts - can't beat it! Would definitely come back.

Went to catch an NBA playoff game (game sound is on too!), and they have happy hour specials on weekdays from 3-6PM. Their Sriracha Salt wings are my new fav - spicy and full of flavour. Their nickel burger during happy hour is juicy, but on the small side. Their ketchup chips are a more hearty version of what you might be used to (think Old Dutch chips but more "fresh"). I recommend to hit them up for their Sriracha Salt wings, and their daily specials.
