The Cambie Bar & Grill

Nice open space, got some character and feel to the place. The service was just a little slow but friendly and good. They have a buy one get one free lunch special going on which was great. The prices were reasonable too. Pretty cool place to check out if you are ever in the Gastown area in Vancouver. Worth trying.

Cambie isn't what it used to be, Hip hop & dance music. Only the staff could appreciate as the patrons were 40+ (probably like me wondered what happened) $10 poutine with 6 cheese curds. Poor beer selection. I guess it's now marketed to the same crowd that hangs in the club's downtown. This used to be a great place with Rock, Punk and other less commercial music. The place was always busy. Today we are 4 patrons only & I'm out of here as soon as I can. I should be skipped and keep the memories of a great bar in Vancouver.

You do not come here for fast services. The environment is good and there are sports playing on the televisions. The employees/servers are friendly and will answer questions from visitors from afar. Great place to chat with people from far-flung places and to hear foreign tongues spoken.

Nice place that’s right on the doorstep of the Cambie Hostel. Reasonable prices but I was just a little taken aback by how the bartender fill up the tip section in the credit card machine themselves. Maybe because I told him I’m not from Vancouver and that he assumed I wouldn’t tip if it’s not put in for me? But I knew I had to tip, so for him to decide his own tip and fill it for me just kind of just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I don’t know, maybe it normal for them to do that in this city? Otherwise it’s a really nice bar.

Great place. I never really have food here, but great for beer and groups. They also have an outside patio and some game machines in the place. Pretty open space. Super casual place, can be a bit loud inside when it's getting pretty full at night though.
