Had a lovely meal. Beer was nice. Severs were good. Toilet was quite clean. But they do that thing with the tip on the card machine where they put option 1 as the highest amount and option 3 as the lowest. It seems a bit underhanded, like you're taking advantage of the tourists. Have option 1 be 15% and option 3 be 25% that way it confirms with the majority of places and doesn't catch people unawares.

What a fantastic pub. Their happy hour menu is fantastic and affordable, which is a bonus and the portions are a lot larger than you'd imagine for a happy hour meal. The atmosphere is loud and energetic with people playing board games in all corners, of which they have a large selection. The only issue is of course, is that people who are consuming alcohol lose pieces which can sometimes be integral to the game. A great staff make this space even more welcoming and the inside is a lot more spacious than it looks. A great place for a quick bite and a boardgame during or before a night out.

This review is based on a one-time visit and I was with a party of 6: Service was unfriendly and rude. She was only friendly when she was handing out the pay machine to us. The board game selection is pretty bad. Don't go if that's the feature you're looking for. Games are old and out dated. At least they had a beat-up version of Cards Against Humanity. The food on the other hand was good for pub food.

Never been so rushed and been kind of rude towards in my entire life. It wasn't extreme, but we did order food and drinks and felt super rushed and was given even rude looks at from the waitress. Not sure why, but maybe put a minimum charge then if you were mad that we ordered the happy hour snacks that were recommended? A bit confused because our board game plays were cut super short and seemed like they didn't care at all.

Tried to visit with a small group. They told us they were setting up a table for us and to wait so we did for about ten minutes. Tables downstairs became available so we tried to order drinks at the bar while we waited but they refused service until we got to our table upstairs. Bartender flipped out and it got awkward so we left.
