So, let's start this off by saying I loved this place initially. Was a great place to go and hang out, play some games, etc. Went again tonight for a date night with my wife, and after ordering two rounds of drinks, two rounds of food, and hoping to order more, they asked us to leave. It was obvious they wanted us to leave after the first round, and the service was mediocre from there on out. Yes, Fridays are busy. Yes, you have a wait list. But guess what, if customers are paying and ordering food and drinks constantly, you don't ask them to leave. We wouldn't have minded as much if they had offered us a spot at the bar instead, but alas, we got the boot. We were not rude or belligerent, but had apparently spent too much time there spending our money. Don't worry, whatever management might read this, we won't be going again any time soon. : Tldr: Don't go if you actually want to spend time with your SO and want good service.
Perfectly themed food and drinks. Nachos are different compare to what most restaurants do change is nice. Decor fits the video game theme! There are a bunch of screens that play Twitch streams and video game highlights. You can also play a few video games that they have set up. If you're more into board games, they have a few of those too! Note: their food menu is limited after a certain time at night I think it's 9pm?
Exactly what you'd expect from a gaming bar. Awesome names for drinks, alot of TV's to play your favorite games, and a young crowd. I went on a Sunday so there was literally 8 people including me. The Phoenix Fries were amazing and the cocktails were ok. The decorations were on point as well. They had the coolest posters and replicas all over the bar. Remember it's a gaming bar and expectations will be met
The food trip continues!!! This time we visited @expbarvancouver in Vancouver! A completely different kind of bar one be expecting! The food was excellent and so does the gaming atmosphere. The place were decorated with known games and props, plus a huge screen for viewing live stream gta5 tonight today I've heard alot about this place and finally got to be there master chief burger was soo good definitely highly recommend everyone to come here!
Extremely friendly service, never once felt rushed out the door even though i spent way more time there past paying my bill, the gaming memorabilia is fantastic decor, the gaming stations are all clean and feel great, modern games on play and a SF2 cabinet! The boot? The food was excellent, full of flavour, hot, and fresh. I am totally coming back. Easy.
Good surprise with vibes of this place. Food is not amazing but good. Its cool to play at différent games while waiting for the food to be serve. Staff is pretty kind.
Nerdvana. Great food, quirky decor, friendly service. Had the perogies, unexpectedly large portions and nice and fresh. Deep fried peanut butter cups were a perfect dish to share.
A little small but a good deal of heart. Staff was attentive and friendly. Other customers seemed happy, there was definitely a good buzz in the building. I tried the peach BBQ chicken bites and was pleasantly surprised. Prices are a little high perhaps, but you're definitely paying for the atmosphere.
I stumbled on this place randomly while looking for a dinner spot near downtown Vancouver. It's small but bustling with people at least it was on a Sunday night. The menu has a lot of cute themed entrees, and the food was ok. I got the spicy chicken sandwich added bonus: you can get lettuce wraps in lieu of bread at no extra cost! My husband got the steak. We also had a seasonal cocktail called applevania that was out of this world tasty. There is a free play street fighter machine and puzzle fighter was available to play while we were there. Not sure if they rotate games but they are fun choices. Oh...and you can also borrow a board game before/after your meal. They have a good mix of casual and more hardcore stuff.
Awesome bartenders here! Great memory they have haha! My favorite restaurant and bar. Period. Always bring my friends here for drinks or dinner when I'm around. Total gamers heaven here! The food is excellent, drinks are even better! Love the names for everything. Staff are superb too! Only came in maybe 2 times and the bar tender remembered my favorite drink already!
