Story

In the 70s, Asian fishermen that immigrated to the US Gulf Coast took the traditional Louisiana Creole inspired crawfish boil and enhanced the recipe. They added Asian aromatics to the boil - lemongrass and ginger - serving it with garlic butter and a blend of Asian spices. This created a crawfish boil that is full of unique flavours.

This restaurant isn't for everyone. This is not a place to go when you have to satisfy different palates. Indeed, you will need to be an experienced and avid seafood lover.

My order was to-go. I stopped in thinking "Captain's Boil" would be some kind of seafood soup, stir fry or gumbo. Boy was I surprised when I got home with just a clear plastic bag full of shrimp. No vegetables or noodles. Just a bag full of shrimp with heads, shells, legs, tails and all.

Given the sheer quantity I had to deal with, I watched a YouTube on how to efficiently peel cooked shrimp. I got the hang of it and 15-minutes later, I was ready to eat my now cold meal. My plate of edible shrimp was probably just smaller than the pile of heads, shells, and antennae left in the inedible pile.

In closing, this is going to be a place you love or hate. I personally won't be back but try it if you love seafood.

Different experience here. Be prepared to get your hand dirty. If you expect your food on a plate as in any other restaurants, you will be disappointed. The food comes in plastic bags. Water also served in plastic cups. I've been to this place couple of weeks ago. Ordered lobster with house special source with mild spicy level. The source blend was great. Very meaty lobster. On the menu price the lobster was marked as market price; it was $41.99 on that day.

Definitely a unique experience. be prepared to use your hands to eat. I always order the crab legs and I am never disappointed. 
- Prices are reasonable for the crab legs  and beer (what i usually order)
- place seems clean
- staff are friendly

would recommend this place for the experience and food

Good food. Cajun fries and shrimp in a bag was amazing. Horrible service. Arrived at 630pm order taken at 7. Received drink about 45 mins after sitting down. And they have a lot of staff. Asked for the bill and wasn't brought it. Had to go up to the counter 10 mins later because they forgot about us again. Wouldn't return to this location.

This is a great place for seafood and a lot of fun due to the fact that cutlery is optional and your food is served in a bag. There is something for everyone to try and if you’re not a seafood fan there are many chicken options as well for you to enjoy. 
Just note their winter hours, as they close at 11 and have a last call for food at 10:30.
