The Berlin

We were very impressed. We had heard great things, but our experience exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was very attentive all around. Our meal was fantastic from top to bottom. We had the duck and the beef after opening with the charcuterie and cheese platter (which included a "tour") It was all spectacular! We will certainly be back as soon as possible!

I am not really surprised to hear this place is closing its doors. This food was fine when we went. The waiter was pleasant too. It was the manager working on the evening we were they who was a complete unprofessional. I would have stated I will never be back but I guess that is pointless. I feel terrible for all the chefs, bartenders, washers and wait staff who are losing their jobs. But I have a feeling they knew this was coming.

Fantastic evening last night at The Berlin! The service was outstanding. (Adam is awesome - knowledgeable, witty, and completely on the ball!) The drinks were great, including respectable single malt scotch options. The food was wonderful - we had the steak - and the staff were exceptionally accommodating and well-prepared for dietary modifications. It was a first visit for both my friend and me, and we agree it's an addition to our "will visit again" list. A note for ladies: Skip the high heels when visiting. The floors are gorgeous polished reclaimed plank wood; high heels slip and slide all over them. --- CJS

I paid 120$ for a meal with me and my girlfriend. We got the steak and a full course meal. It was the chewiest steak I've ever had. I told the waiter and he didn't care. The table next to me demanded action from the manager. I wanted to do the same, but I preferred it if they suggested a refund--which didn't happen. Most over paid meal I've ever had. The bread was amazing though. Props to the baker.

This is not a casual dining restaurant. This is a fine dining experience that you take your partner/date on. The portions are not substantial but are appropriate - reflective of this type of establishment. The menu rotates on a regular basis, but the dishes are fantastic in design and quite delicious. The Berlin is well rated for a good reason. If you're looking for a casual dining experience more reminiscent of what you find at many of the chain restaurants, then this place might not be for you. Otherwise, the Berlin is a great choice to try out.
