The Grand Trunk Saloon

I'd been wanting to visit Grand Trunk for a while due to word of mouth and when we finally went I was not disappointed. KW has a lot of places doing Southern/Soul Food wrong so Grand Trunk is a welcome change. We went on a Monday night and it was not too busy, which is surprising considering the great deal they have on a fried chicken sandwich that day. I had the sandwich, it was excellent, and I look forward to trying their bone-in fried chicken in the future. My wife had the burger and it was also very good, with the meat just perfectly pink in the middle of the two patties. I also had a nice gin cocktail, which was good. I look forward to trying some of their other drink options in the future as they seem to have a good bourbon selection. I'm interested to try the more Canjun/Creole options on the menu as it is hard to find good Louisiana/New Orleans food in Ontario, but if it is as good as what we had we will be back. The restaurant itself is small but nicely decorated in a laid back, understated way. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We will be back soon.

This place is the best! I used to go here with co-workers after long weeks for a relaxing night out, now i take everyone here. They make everything in house including the drink mixes, and their menu updates appropriately. I have never had a bad experience here. One time i received a slightly underchilled glass of white wine, but the server was quick to bring me a new fresh glass that was perfectly chilled STAT! Grand Trunk Saloon is a must see if you are looking to experience something above and beyond your average restaurant.

Delicious food that came to the table quickly. The service was thoughtful, without being pushy. Ambiance was modern without being sterile. Great whisky list and a fun, innovative and tasty menu. Overall, I heartily recommend this venue!

Here a place where I don't think they are capable of making a bad drink. Prices are average and the only complaint I ever got from I've of my friends I took there was that they had put to more alcohol in her drink than she would have liked. They sure dint cheap out on the good stuff. Many of the drinks on the menu are based on in house items, such, pecan infused vodka, coffee beans infused sweet vermouth, cigar tobacco bitters... which makes many of the favorite quote unique. I recommend the "code and cigarettes" if you are looking for a bold drink that displays proud masculinity, while not sacrificing sweetness, or the "la louisienne" if you feel more like a sweet and fruity experience. The foods are southern cuisine inspired. I absolutely love their Caesar salad, but I unusually don't go there to eat. Enjoy!

Just incredible and a bit of a step up from The Lancaster Smokehouse. Very creative and innovative menu. Service superb with gourgous smiling waitresses that are very professional. Extraordinary, unique and never a bad experience. Possibly best in the world bread pudding! You get what you pay for, so until you have tried it, your missing out and putting your tail between your legs. Say hello to Southern Cuisine that you would otherwise have to travel very far for.
