The Bake House

Wow, this place has amazing pasta dishes. High quality sauces and pasta not overcooked. I tried all red, white, and curry sauce. They are all very good. Curry sauce tasted better than most curry from Indian places. On top of that, the soups are very good. We tried the mushroom cream and Russian borscht. They used real and fresh mushrooms for their soup and the borscht was very flavourful. I don't usually write reviews, but I want to see this place do well as there not as busy. It may seem more expensive at $14.99 but most Metrotown fastfood is at that price, and this is the best out of all of them. Real gourmet food.

Amazing!! Will definitely come back again as we love the items here!!! Compared to other HK cafe, the flavor, texture, toppings are wayyyyy better. Don't expect Italian kind, this is the HK style kind for sure! Price is alright given it's food court but no hk style drinks! Our order was around $33 for the 2 item with soup combo. The Bolognese is definitely real good as there is actually herbs flavor and it's savory. The salmon and spinach had a good reminder of salmon and spinach and also, lots of onion and mushroom while the pasta was cooked just right unlike hk cafes that usually over cook it. Good amount of sauce to pasta ratio! Wish they sold HK style drinks but it's okay, we went to Starbucks for a Trenta back tea without sugar lollll

You don’t see many mall food courts that serve lasagna, but it so happens that Metropolis at Metrotown does. The lasagna had the right creamy, tender noodles and cheesy goodness. Just wish it had a cheese crust on top. Will try the weekday specials next time

I had the chicken alfredo twice, and the mushroom soup. So freaking delicious. It stays nice&hot for a while too! The special with a soup is a lot of food for a fantastic price. Definitely my new favorite place to go! Forgot to mention the guy working there was super kind and made sure to get our order right by asking

The food seems to have got slightly worse but still is ok. The basic hygiene practices are terrifying though. The cook was eating ice cream on the stick while working with the food. No mask. Was both, hilarious but also terrifying

Amazing staff, comforting food, and great value! The seafood alfredo was delicious with a generous portion of seafood and the alfredo sauce didn't taste like powdered parmesan. Very creamy and Al dente

I ordered the chicken a la king. It came with mushroom soup. I’m fairly certain they used the same sauce in the chicken a la king as the mushroom soup, which was likely milk thickened with cornstarch and a few mushrooms tossed in. It’s served in an aluminum tin, which is not healthy. Keep your standards very low here. Had a few bites and threw the rest away. I will never eat here again.
