Visited on a Saturday for late lunch and it was surprisingly empty with no other guests. Ordered a non-veg Indian Thai and an Indo-Chinese veg thali, the food was served in 10-15mins upon order and they got the naan order wrong and completely missed spring roll in one of the Thalis. However the staff are friendly and the ambiance is really good. The food could’ve used salt in all the dishes and the indo Chinese food used same base for chilli paneer and Manchuria, fried rice was so dry and the noodles has excessive oil. Would recommend going with non veg thali instead and we liked all the flavors in this. Definitely a nice place for larger groups, they patio outside and free parking.
I recently dined at The Backroom, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a cozy meal. The menu offered a fantastic variety of dishes, and everything we ordered was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor.nnOur server, Roop , was outstanding. They were attentive without being intrusive, providing great recommendations and ensuring our drinks were always topped up. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive, and they made us feel welcomed and valued throughout our meal.nnOverall, I highly recommend The backroom for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. I can’t wait to return!
I love Backroom! The management changed recently and it's so good! The drinks are amazing and so is the food. It's me and hubby's fav place to go. No kidding we are here every week and sometimes twice so that's short for how much we love this place. The whole vibe is amazing especially the live music night on Saturday is our favourite. We have been here with our whole family 15+ and we absolutely adore each and every person here. The bartender- Vivek is an absolute amazing gem of a person and he would create the most outstanding drinks that are to die for. Hands on the best experience in such a long time. I recently visited this restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing due to several issues:nn1. **Drinks**: When our drinks were served, they came without ice, soda, or water. We had to specifically ask for each of these, which was inconvenient and disrupted our dining experience.nn2. **Chicken Chilly**: This dish was particularly problematic. The chicken was so tough that it required a knife to cut through it. Additionally, the texture and taste suggested that the chicken was either cooked with the skin on or was stale, making it quite unappetizing.nn3. **Biryani**: The biryani we ordered was not up to standard. It seemed like the restaurant had added a flavored chicken that did not complement the dish. Moreover, the biryani was overloaded with garam masala, which might have been because we requested it to be spicy. However, the result was an unpleasantly overpowering flavor.nn4. **Main Course**: There was an error with our main course order. When we pointed this out, the server informed us that the mistake was made by the chef. This passing of blame did not help improve our impression of the service.nn5. **Paneer Dish**: On a positive note, the paneer item was exceptional. It was well-prepared and delicious, standing out as the highlight of our meal. If I ever return, it would likely be just to enjoy this dish again.nn6. **Soup Service**: We requested an extra bowl for our soup, but the server brought the bowl without a spoon. Additionally, there was no serving spoon provided to divide the soup. By the time we managed to get the necessary utensils, the soup had already gone cold.nn7. **Atmosphere**: The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere that is suitable for groups and families. This aspect was one of the few positives during our visit.nn8. **Drink Menu**: There was confusion regarding the drink menu. It listed open hours similar to happy hours, but the server informed us that these offers only applied to a limited food menu printed on the last page, with no actual drink offers. This was attributed to a misprint, which was misleading and frustrating.nn9. **Patiala Peg Cocktail**: I tried the Patiala Peg cocktail, but it was very basic and did not meet my expectations. It lacked any distinctive flavor or presentation that would make it stand out.nn10. **Extra Onions**: We asked for some extra onions, and to our surprise, we were charged around $7 including taxes. This seemed excessive for such a simple request and left a negative impression.
What truly stole our hearts was the food! The flavours were well-balanced, and the presentation was visually stunning.nThe staff were friendly, approachable, and made sure our glasses were always filled.nFrom the ambience to the impeccable service and delectable dishes, this restaurant has it all. I can't wait to return and indulge in their culinary creations once again. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, I highly recommend giving this gem a visit!
