Taverne 1909 signé St-Hubert

Very good food and great and fast service. Went here twice and I had wonderful service. The recent time was the Laval Rocket home opener after the game. With a nearly full house I Got to my seat less then 2 minutes and got served less then 5 minutes and my food less then 10 minutes. I order the cheeseburger and it was very good. One of the best restaurant burger I had in a long time. The other time I had the fish and chips and it was very good as well. The only negative thing I can say is they need to update their website more often because the menu prices on website is not the same in the restaurant. The other which it not there fault but worth mentioning is the parking, very hard to find one if your planing to eat here when it game time. The parking will be full. Overall it a great place to eat and will come back again for sure.

Edited Post - 4 1/2 instead of 2 stars. My original review was poor due to the poor experience we had during the first World Cup game we watched. The second time around the service was great, friendly and fast. Food is mediocre - it does the job. Nachos are almost without salsa sauce, you need to ask for additional dressing / ketchup / mayonnaise when you order burgers or fries.

Ho men ho men.... So disappointed. Was seriously hoping in this place. Service very slow and unatentiones. Food was ordinary for the price and portions little below what is expected for the tacos Chicken fingers very greasyoil covered the bottom of plate but crunchy and pricy. My downtown experience was way better. Sad, we had hope in a new place for evening get togethers after work near a metro station. Look at the pictures of my plates. Clearly the manager noticed we where unhappy. He removed our bill and offered us the meal. We don't go out to get free meels BUT for good experiences. This time the experience was below acceptable but the meel was free. And theybcan use the excuse that they just opened, but this restaurant is operated by one of Canada's largest franchise and they should be able to properly operate a place like this rapidly lile they do in multiple other locations of their brands accros Montréal.

As a season ticket holder I was told that we would get priority seating. I called then was told i had to email for reservations , I emailed then was told i had to call the restaurant. Finally they took care of it and confirmed a table for 8 people. When we showed up we were crammed into a booth that is meant for 5 people with 2 extra chairs at the end. Seeing that we were there for 2 colleagues retirement party i asked if we could be moved because it was impossible for us all to fit. I was told this was the only place available. When i pointed out several other available empty tables the waitress refused to allow us to move ! Needless to say the evening was ruined and never again will i set foot in there with colleagues or clients. Very Disappointing!!

The interior design is awesome. The service and the food however.... disappointing. They charge you extra for everything, the service is terribly slow even though the restaurant is empty. The staff keeps on hanging out by the bar. Anybody is barely working, so disappointed

Laval location. Had reservations for 17:45. Only got seated at 18:25. Ordered right away as we had Rocket tickets for 19:30. Food only came at 19:20. Very SLOW service. Why take reservations if you make us wait 40 minutes for a table? We ate our food super fast so we wouldn’t miss too much of the game. We missed 13 minutes of the hockey game and the first goal. Can’t tell you about the food as we ate it so fast because they served us so late. We’re NEVER going back there again. We go to, on average 15 games a season and none of our group of 5 will be going to that restaurant again. If you have Rocket tickets, I suggest you dine elsewhere before the game or show up at 15:00 to eat supper.

Last CH Hockey game of the season didn’t require any reservations since playoffs elimination already was known. The huge screen is in an awkward position between two floors so had to trial & error three tables before my son was able to follow the game. After that we were in great company for three hours and service was excellent. The three stars is due to the menu and quality of food. Fries are soggy swimming in fat, chicken felt like being reheated in microwave oven and portions are kids menu size. The pudding chômeur was better though $10 is kind of overpriced for a restaurant bar. There are better locations in Laval to watch sports and we won’t come back for dinner/game. Better for 5-7 with colleagues really. Parking: you get two hours free which isn’t enough for a hockey game so may as well park at metro station for $7.50 all night. Walking distance really.

My friend suggested we eat here before taking the metro to go see the Habs play against the Leafs. I loved the ambiance as soon I walked in even though the restaurant was empty. I got the grilled cheese smoked meat with fries and I was expecting way more from the food especially since it was supposed to be one of their signature dishes. The sandwich was good but the fries were terrible. Tasteless and as if they were reheated. The service was horrendous and the staff was too busy hanging out at the corner of the bar instead of serving us. We were never offered any salt, ketchup, with our food and the barmaid didn’t even ask if we wanted another drink during the hour that we were there. This now place has a lot of potential but management needs to step in and do something about the food and customer experience. I really wanted to like this place but it was terrible.

We went today again for the Soccer World Cup. After bad experience last Sunday this time was way better! You kept your promise and improved a lot! Very well organized. The food was good. The service was perfect and really friendly. The big screen is spectacular. We will definitely come back.

My boyfriend and I went to Taverne 1909 on Friday Jan 3rd after a hockey game, when we arrived, there were only about 6 people inside, so we took a seat at the bar thinking we would skip the traffic of getting out of Place Bell and have a beer and nachos in the meantime.. So we pick a table and sit down..... and waited.....and waited....and waited for about 20 minutes before some waitress came to see us, only to give us menus and leave without waiting to take at least a drink order. We waited about 20 minutes for her to come back and take our drink order and when asked if we wanted food, she brought us a menu and walked away for another 20 minutes!!! When she finally came back, we asked for nachos only to be told they RAN OUT!!!!!!!!!! We waited over an hour to place an order when we were one of the first clients to arrive!!! By this time, everyone around us who came in after us was served and almost done eating!! Meanwhile the bartender was not doing anything except flirting with other clients and didnt appear to be working at all. After we were told that there were no more nachos, we asked for our bill which cost us a whopping 33$ for 2 small drinks!!!....and as we walked out the door, we spotted a group that came in after us.... WITH NACHOS ON THEIR TABLE!!!!!!!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, EXPENSIVE FOR NOTHING, DO NOT RECOMMEND AND WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!
