We ordered all kinds of meat tacos and fish tacos. Tripes tacos and fish tacos are my favourites. They served 3 kinds of handmade salsa. Green and red are good, yellow is too sweet. Tortillas are very fresh. Mexican good service. Much better than we expected from the appearance of the building.
Went there around 5pm and it was very quiet maybe they just opened. The restaurant itself was very clean and had a nice, spacious atmosphere to it, with authetic accents throughout. The service was very friendly and quick, and it actually felt like a Mexican restaurant. The portions were bigger than expected and well worth the price. I got the fries and they were phenomenal, definitely above my expectations!! I thought the highway noise would be a problem, nut it really wasn't in fact it was great to people watch!. Tons of parking too. I will definitely be returning :
We had a fantastic experience here today - Jorge was an awesome server and very friendly. The Birria was so GOOD! Very traditional style along with the Pastor Burrito, so so yummy : we will definitely be back.
A trip to Mexico Many restaurants have come and gone in Kelowna over the years. Some are good and some are just plain bad. I had been skeptical of this new Mexican restaurant due to the word of mouth reviews and comments I had read and heard nonetheless my wife and I decided to give TAMM a try. Upon arival my first impressions where a bit dashed as we where greeted with a run down exterior of a building and dirty dining tables left to their demise. Granted it's spring and everything is dirty but dining tables that you can write your opinions on is not a good sign of the cleanliness and standards we expect. For those who expect a modern, hoity-toity experience move along you won't find that here. You want a Mexican home style meal created by those who came from the mother land? This is it. Remember every restaurant has their take on recipes but granted you expect some familiarity. We where greated buy a very energetic and polite waitresses that seated us and brought us tortilla chips and a dip Not sure what the dip was. My wife had the Enchiladas and I had the El Domingureo. Both meals came in acceptable time and was hot. The presentation was quite good. The flavours where good. I did find mine to be a bit salty. Everything tasted fresh and nothing was over powering. Clearly they have cooks who taste what they are cooking and are passionate for their art. With any restaurant there is always room to improve and while I'm not the final say I will say "you should try TAMM yourself". Keep up the good work TAMM! Keep raising the bar:
The location and the interior of this restaurant is great. However, we found the food was pretty bland and uninspired. Our main courses were very boring and tasteless and left a lot to be desired. That being said, the complementary chips and salsa were fantastic, and the drinks were pretty good as well. We found the service was great as well, despite all the negative reviews due to bad service. If they could make the main courses more interesting and tasty, this could be a great restaurant.
Wonderful experience at this establishment, clean, kind & tasty tacos! Thank you for the great hospitality and experience we will be back! Cute little store front right next to it, great music and ambiance. P.s best sangria and fish tacos Vegetarian options: Great veggy tacos Kid-friendliness: Children didn't seem to be an inconvenience, the staff were extremely chill and accommodated us.
4 of us adults and one 6 year old came for dinner today around 5. It was very quite. 3 or 4 tables including ours, after about 30 min with not one staff coming to give water or menus. No drink orders nothing, so we had to go up to the bar and order drinks.after almost another 20 min, we finally got our first two drinks. Lime Margaret's had absolutely no taste at all... our food took even longer to get then the drinks did. When it did finally come it Definitely was not worth the wait at all. I have had better Mexican food at fast food places...unfortunately this is my first written review, wish I could say some positive however that would be a lie. Hopefully they improve cause they are sweet , nice people with lots of potential and a awesome location. We will not be returning.
Stopped in last week and enjoyed our lunch. The complimentary home made nachos and salsa are really good. Had the tacos and theyr were very tasty. They also have a great selection of Mexican food and treats in a small bodega in the restaurant, recommend checking it out.
The food tasted bland to me. The chips and mini green salsa and chips good and my coworker liked the beans a lot, but to me everything was underwhelming. The liquid nacho cheese seemed more like something from a hockey game consession than what I would expect at a Mexican restaurant.
We had a wonderful experience . Warm and welcoming staff. Our server Stephanie was pleasant and efficient. She was very helpful and made our time there very enjoyable . There is a shopping area attached to the restaurant where you can purchase a wide variety of dried peppers , spices and other ingredients for Mexican cooking . Imported candy and other treats from Mexico . Truly a great little gem . We most certainly will be returning Vegetarian options: Excellent food choices for vegetarians as well as Gluten free Parking: Parking easy access right next to the restaurant
