Super Tasty! Nice atmosphere and good vibe! Staff are super friendly! A great addition to Commercial Drive! Go check it out..your tummy will thank you!
The food is delicious here - the sambusec & soup I had was perfect for a gloomy November afternoon BUT the service and the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. I get that it’s “to go” but a smile abs bring a meal to the table costs you nothing. Like the Tamam on Hastings this is a pricey spot but the flavours make it easier to fork over. Oh n the hours are super weird. What’s up with that?
I work near by and I come here a couple times a week for lunch since it opened. The food is always amazing and the staff is so sweet! If you’re hungry try the mjadra wrap with chicken! Sooooo good. Love you guys and thanks for making such good food!
Absolutely delicious. We were looking at the menu outside and a few people walking by told us “we love this place so much!” So we went in. I don’t remember what we ordered but everything was really delicious. Tamarind juice was yummy if you like that flavou
Delicious little restaurant, everything was good and extremely well priced. Will definitely be coming back !
Scrumptious food and wonderful service. This is the kind of food you could eat everyday and not get bored. The labneh with zaatar is a must have as a snack or small lunch, and the freekeh soup is actual heaven. Easily the best middle eastern food I’ve had in Canada.
This place was so good! Very happy to see a Palestinian restaurant in town - I came to support but left extremely impressed by the food. My chicken wrap was really well spiced and had just the right amount of sauce and veggies to complement it - would definitely come again!
I went twice, once for a chicken sambusec and another for some sweet treats from their display. And I will keep going. The sambusec was delicious. I don't know about Palestinian cuisine but it tasted different to what I am used to and still delicious and the ingredients seem good quality. The sweats were really good, almond based. If you are unsure of what things are based on the name, you can check their website, they have plenty of pictures. I also found their services very friendly and caring. You can tell they really care about their product and business. This has become very quickly in a place I look forward to going.
I’ve tried a few things on the menu and it’s all so yummy, but the chicken sandwich is the star! This is seriously the best chicken sandwich or pita on the drive - it is so delicious! It has everything you’d want. Heat, spice, fresh, bright, grilled/ charred, herbaceous — it’s got it all. You will crave it. This place is a hidden gem and the staff are lovely. I hope more people discover this place!
The food is pretty good, and I love the fact that it's Palestinian which is unique to the drive, but the prices don't seem competitive with what is around. After a modest tip, your paying around $15.50 for a chicken wrap. A small salad runs $9.00. There also isn't much for photo's of the dishes and the girl at the counter didn't seem particularly keen to explain much either time I've been there. If you're not familiar with the dishes you might struggle a bit to figure out what to order. That said, it seems like a family run place, and still fairly new so if they're able and willing to adapt and modify their prices a bit, there is certainly room for their rating to improve.
