A posh vegan restaurant in Chinatown, Vancouver. Quite a few fusion dishes to choose from. We tried the Dan Dan noodles and TANDOORI TACOS and the noodles were extremely tasty. Both dishes were spicy with a kick. We also had a coupon for the peanut butter pie, which was delicious. I highly recommend it. Unfortunately they were short-staffed so the service was lacking.
We've been going around town with our vegetarian friend and she suggested Mila. She's only had them as delivery so it will be a first time visit for all of us. The staff were nice. The food was great and the drinks were great as well. We initially wanted the Winona Forever but they were out of it so we went for Strawberry Fields which was nice and refreshing. We also got one of the in-house made sodas. The soda isn't as bubbly as regular sodas. It's in the middle of soda and juice. Overall, the experience was great. I'd suggest a reservation if you're going there a bit later in the day/night.
This place definitely blew me away. When I read it was created by the makers of virtuous pie I had to give it a try and it did not disappoint! The smashed chips were so good, as were the fish tacos and Caesar salad. The fish tacos deserve a special mention, can’t believe how good they get the fish… never had vegan fish like that! The watermelon tuna sushi was really good too but it needed some extra flavour if they are serving it without soya sauce.
I recently dined at MILA, a vegan and plant-based restaurant, and I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, all made from fresh and wholesome ingredients. I was pleasantly surprised at how flavorful and satisfying each dish was, and I couldn't believe that everything was 100% plant-based. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. They also have Happy Hour specials! Overall, I had a fantastic experience at MILA and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious and healthy vegan cuisine.
Accompanied my vegan daughter here and had an assortment of dishes. Standouts were definitely the Dan Dan Noodles and the chocolate-peanut butter pie - both phenomenal. The rest was a bit of a mix, but all really well done and beautifully presented.
Quite impressed with how they can make vegetables taste like meat dishes! So delicious and the place was nicely decorated. It was small but warm and the loft is a nice addition to the space. Service was very good. The tacos is a must try!
Mila does vegan cuisine really well! The food is flavourful and in good portions. The cocktail menu is also quite varied and has good options. It’s a nice place to stop for dinner. Definitely a go to if youre trying to eat less meat or just looking for a good meal! Would highly recommend getting a reservation before though. It can get quite busy.
[1/2] Poor service. One of the servers literally ignored us saying we were ready to order. A different server came twice to our table just to say someone was coming to put in our orders while we were waiting. The food was well presented and tasty but the bad service doesn’t make me want to go back. Specially because it’s not on the side of cheap restaurants. I expected more, given the high price and nice atmosphere. [2/2] Apparently Google doesn’t allow a second review on the same establishment. I ended up coming back with a friend because it was a convenient location to our plans. Restaurants in Vancouver are famous for spoiling their costumers on their birthdays with drinks, desserts or discounts. At Mila, when I asked if there was something, as it was both mine and my friend’s birthday, the server said she could provide a candle if we would order dessert! I was chocked. One more reason not to come back, since fortunately Vancouver has some reasonable options for vegan food.
It was like a traditional breakfast with some more spices and flavours. Something healthier than overly filling potatoes would be good. A bit over priced and not as refreshing as some other new vegetarian places like in yaletown. Also wasn't a fan of the sign outside that mentions to line up for reservations and walk-ins but nobody comes out to get you or anything so other people walk in without lining up.
Love love love this place!! I’ve actually been four times in the past month and have tried nearly everything on their menu. I’m a vegetarian but don’t like the taste of fish, so my favorites are the Karaage Bao, Aubri Lox Oshi, Artichoke Mafalda Pasta, and Smash Burger. But honestly, I haven’t had anything I didn’t like here.
