Tally Ho Restaurants

Worked there in 2000. We used to be able to cut a piece of the sides of beef they cooked to shave for the sandwiches. Best beef ever! The fries are really good! The roast beef is even better!

Open till 2 am!! You can sit down there or get take out. They have great roast beef/gravy sandwiches ... good gravy!!! In my opinion, It cost less to eat at Tally Ho"s than most other burger joints. Worth the visit.

I hate to do this, was my favorite place to eat in the entire city but the last few times it has gone way down hill.. always order a double and They give singles and hardly any gravy. It's dry and not enjoyable. But that was tolerable. Last straw was tonight I ordered my classics double beef and I got a cold single from some pile they had going. And when I took my first bite I almost vomited tasted like old fish. I threw out my whole meal. For $15 I expect better. Service was terrible too and the owner was working. Very unimpressed, used to go every Friday. Might try back in a few months, maybe they will have it back together :/

It's a magical place. It's extremely old school inside. Not a black tie kind of place. But the beef sandwich is a thing of beauty. The meat melts in your mouth. The real magic of the place is the gravy. It somehow continues to steam long after it's been dispensed yet somehow doesn't burn your mouth into a giant blister. This is truly some work of witchcraft. I want to know how they do it but don't want to sell my soul in order to acquire the knowledge. All that said go get a double beef sandwich into you ASAP. Treat yo self!

Their slow roasted beef burgers are great but the buns are not toasted properly. The fries were a little under cooked but to be fair I visited fairly late with several people and they tried to rush our order. The customer service is impeccable and it has the potential to be amazing but right now its just a little better than average.
