Mark's Chinese Food & Tavern

I like it! I love Chinese food and always try some place different. I live around the corner so I stop in once a week. BEST egg rolls I've had in my life. They're huge and very tasty. Nothing like the small ones I've had from every other restaurant. Love the breaded shrimp. Everything else I've tried is good! Not the best ever, but good for the price. I have never ordered for delivery, but give them a break! The couple is like 60 years old and they're working there alone with the mother who's like 90! She cooked my food last time I went in and it was very good. Pick up your food, if possible and there will be NO problem. I promise you lol.. Also it's a good private place to sit and drink. Although they do run out of mix for high balls.. Very limited for alcohol.

Ordered take out for the family last week and we couldn't have been more disappointed. Cash only, no debit or credit card option and the food was over cooked and tasteless. Spent over $60.00 dollars on the order and probably would have had better food from the freezer section at the grocery store. I will never order from Mark's again.

Honey garlic ribs are superb. Chicken balls do not skimp on the meat. The actual dine in is a bit run down, but the customer service was great and the food was some of the best American-Chinese I've had in the city. The older woman who works the storefront is so very sweet.

The worst Chinese food I've ever had. Can't even describe it. Tasteless and overcooked. We used to get fantastic food here but something must have happened. Go elsewhere.

definitely not upscale dining by any stretch of the imagination...I would recommend take-out only unless you're into the shabby chic weathered 80's motif....the food is what you would expect from any Canadian style Chinese food restaurant. the pricing is very affordable and the staff friendly and fast.
