Ronn Mattai, Rossano Bonito and Executive Chef Mike Middlemost welcome you to Mattson & Co., an elegant place to dine on Hamilton's Locke Street.

Terrific food, service and atmosphere. Our server, Chloe was beyond mindful of a gluten allergy in our party & brought us a complimentary, gluten-free dessert in honour of this guest's birthday. Nice touch to prove little things go far. The food is incredible too. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Probably the best patio on Locke Street. Can't beat the view if it's people watching you like. Lovely and tastefully decorated dining room. Good local beer on tap. Friendly and attentive front of house staff. Eclectic and modern menu, featuring interesting spins on comfort food. Creative plateware!

I went here for my birthday a few years ago and I have been going back ever since. The interior is just so classy and crisp. The staff are always so polite and nice. The food is good (8/10), the drink selection could be better. Nevertheless, this place is a nice place to go to for a date or a special occasion :)

Disappointed. I recently moved to the area from the UK and my girlfriend was visiting from Alberta. We are a young couple in our early 20s taking a walk and decided to stop for a couple of beers. Firstly I was pretty much yelled at for stepping inside the building and told to wait outside by a woman with a silly haircut then was seated with drinks menus (none of them showing any beer options) when said woman (server) came over to take our order I politely asked what beer was offered and she started raining out all these local breweries which I don’t know much of yet so I asked if I could have which ever is the lager option hoping she would be able to advise me. She looks at me like I just asked her something disgusting and answered me in the most condescending manner ever and walked away! At this point my experience and expectations were ruined. Not once were we asked if we were having a good time, only when our glasses were emptied we were offered the bill. I just felt like we weren’t welcomed or fitted in because of maybe how young we were.

I was there on Saturday night for a late-night cocktail and everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. Sat at the bar and chatted with Ronn for a bit, who was so friendly. The atmosphere at this place is upscale, but so laid back and comfortable. And the jazz music is great. It was my first time at Mattson & Co, but I will definitely be back. Oh and the cocktail I had (the Stormy Weather) was great too! Looking forward to my next visit.
