Taj Indian Cuisine is a family owned restaurant that opened in 1987 and has remained a fixture in Ottawa for nearly 28 years.

At Taj, our customer experience focuses on personal and customized services starting from our greetings to enjoying North Indian Punjabi style cooking prepared from a selection of innovative recipes created by owner Indu Bakshi.

We understand the ways of life and try our best to accommodate by serving to our clients needs whether preferring gluten free, being a vegan, vegetarian or loving your meat!

One of the best Indian places in ottawa. The food is amazing and the owner makes sure to address if there is anything. Food is super flavourful and rich. They will adjust the spice levels are per your request. I did a takeout from them for my white folks and they loved it. Highly recommended place.

Excellent food, large potions and cheap prices. The staff are extremely friendly. I was seated immediately. I did not saw any alcohol beverage on the menu.

Excellent food. We went for the long much buffet, we were seated immediately. Food was fantastic. Just a small selection tho. That’s why it gets 4 stars.

Authentic Indian food and the taste is fantastic. The lady provided us with free onion bhaji and also played our favourite music. Will be back again.
