My review is based on a single takeout in March 2023. We ordered 2 butter chickens, 1 chicken tikka masala, 3 garlic naans, and 1 plain rice. Both butter chicken and chicken tikka masala were very tasty and not oily. However, chicken breast was very dry and I would've preferred dark chicken thigh meat instead. The spices they use are good though. Both dishes were very tasty. Garlic naan was pretty bad. They were plain and flat, as opposed to fluffy and flavourful. I'm not sure if it has to do with their tandoor or not but I've had much better garlic naans elsewhere. Plain rice was nothing to write home about. I wish they added some garlic to add flavour but the price is right and the portion was enough for 6 people. Please note that a medium takeout container is pretty small. It's not big enough for multiple people. Please refer to the photo with my hand next to one for scale. Overall, this restaurant serves tasty Indian food, but they need to do something about their naans. I've tried better tasting naans that are fluffy and fresh. I know it can be done. It's a matter of will on the part of the chef and the owner.
The staff is amazing and so as the food. Limited options with awesome taste. Love the authenticity of the Indian food. Highly recommended and a must try when visiting Niagara Falls. Veg and Non Veg options available. Vegetarian options: Good veg options available. we tried palak paneer and it was really tasty. Free Parking nearby can be managed.
We visited Taj Bistro just randomly for a take out and ordered Samosa, pakora and Veg Biryani I would say it was amazing. The samosa was fully stuffed crispy like exactly we like. The Veg Biryani was the highlight as I would say whoever made it kudos to them for the quantity, Quality and taste would recommend it righ awayKeep going
Food is good but prices have gone up, while portions have gone down. Half of what I though was chicken was actually potato so very deceiving. Their $10.99 winter special advertisement in store and on the outside window continues to be posted despite the fact that it is not available and hasn’t been for a year. Disappointed that they still do not offer dine-in.
Used to like the food here but customer service has gone down hill. Ordered food but they only delivered half of it. When I called restaurant to report and ask if missing food can be delivered they said they can only do refund for the missing food and will not do anything else, the guy I was talking to was very rude and started arguing instead of trying to resolve. What’s the point of delivering half the food and offering refund on missing components of dinner that I ordered. Been a customer for the past 8 years but done after this.
I ordered the Butter Chicken and the Lamb Korma with some sides. I am not sure who was working on the 27th of January before close but both dishes were extremely salty, like PURE salt. I have had my fair share of BC and LK, this was probably the worst I have had in both Barrie and Toronto unfortunately. Edit: posted a photo showing my receipt. Very rude review calling me a liar, wow! I was going to go in person and try it out but I will never come here or order from here again! Good luck with your business with that type of attitude and response!
I’m a Uber driver I picked food from this restaurant almost every day and I decided to eat there this is my first experience chicken brianni I love it I will always go for it.I ask the lady about the lamb brianni she said is good that’s my next experience I will share it,thanks guys keep it up!!!!that’s the lamb brianni is very tasty I don’t even know which one is my favourite lol,I will try different dishes!!!!
Food is tasty but the value is terrible. This is a “medium” and there are 4 pieces of butter chicken. We paid $50 for tonight’s meal. We just moved here from the city and can’t believe they are getting away with these prices when $60 used to feed 2 people with leftovers. As much as I enjoyed the taste I can’t justify ordering it again.
Its basically sauce heaven. Literally Steaming hot chicken dishes and vastly different tastes from dish to dish. The vegetarian plates are amazing. Will be coming back next week hopefully. Its not food, it's dessert. Elegant atmosphere too. Our server Luv was extremely pleasing and catering.
I had the curry chicken with rice and Naan. I've been on the toilet all night I love Indian food but it has to be... super fresh or I'll have the worst night possible... I'm sorry you have it wrong I eat the hottest foods at home or I use scotch bonnet peppers I make my own hot sauce and the reason I asked for hotter that time was because it wasn't hot last time. The burps were like sulfur meaning to my system it's passed due for I eat phaal curry the hottest at many places and have never had a problem ,I had to go on a liquid diet for 3 days to flush my intestinal track.
