Hakka Town

I finally was able to try the food from Hakka Town. After living in Markham and Toronto before moving to Barrie, I would often get Hakka Food from so many of the Hakka places in Markham and Scarborough, Frederick's, Lin Garden, Tangerine, Hakka Cottage, etc. The food at Hakka Town is amazing, I ordered the Chili Chicken hot and the Hakka Town Chicken Noodles. The taste is amazing it is easily as good as anything I have had in the city, if not better. I highly recommend Hakka Town, I can not wait to go back and try more items off the menu. If you go in by the Service Ontario entrance it is located to the left up the stairs or elevator on the left. Do yourself a faviur and go try some of this amazing food! There are a few tables in the aisle like a food court. I took it home to eat.

Just found our new go to Hakka place! We were welcomed by Jonathan with all smiles and great service! This is a family owned restaurant. They make your food as you order and very fresh! Worth waiting for. We had the Chili Chicken and the Hakka Fried rice. We finished it to the very last grain of it! lol Very decent serving as well. Will go back for sure!

I had the best vegetarian Hakka noodles today!!! Absolutely delicious, fresh and yummy. My allergy needs were taken with at most care. Extremely happy about the gesture and kindness. Recommend the restaurant 100%.

Much like other people that have reviewed Hakka Town. It truly lives up to its rating! Growing up in Scarborough and Brampton then moving to Barrie, I've missed the taste of chili chicken, Hakka noodles and Pakora..... I'm so happy I've found this magical place

One of the best Hakka places I've ever been to! Hakka Town stands shoulder-to-shoulder with all the best restaurants in Scarborough, Markham, Mississauga, Burnaby, and Surrey. We got the Chilli Chicken Dry and Manchurian Chicken and it blew us away. Everything is made to order and it really shows on the freshness of every spoonful. The manchurian chicken had a wonderful complexity to the gravy. It's spicy, yes. But it's also layered with a wonderful sweetness and perfect balance of acidity. The chicken was perfectly cooked and not overbattered as some Hakka places are wont to do. The chilli chicken dry had a beautiful roasted flavour, complemented by all the wonderful caramelized onions and veggies with the dish. Perfect spiciness too! and yes, it's legit Hakka spicy - if it's a new cuisine for you, DO NOT underestimate it! Shoutout to the friendly cashier too! She made sure we had no allergies and was super nice. We'd definitely swing by again if we're even remotely in the area.

We use to eat chilli chicken in Scarborough a lot, then we moved to Barrie and missed it. Also went vegetarian so it was completely off the table. Then we were told about Hakka Town and WOW. They have vegan chilli chicken that tastes exactly like our place from Scarborough. The noodles are amazing too. This will be a weekly order for us now! I've heard amazing reviews on all their food. Portions are huge, the taste is amazing, you will not be disappointed.

I can't believe the best Hakka/ Chinese food I've ever had would be in Barrie out of all places having moved from Toronto recently. All the soups here are hands down spectacular and the chilli chicken and noodles are beyond fantastic.

Was walking through the Bayfield Mall yesterday and stumbled upon this place. You can smell the delicious aroma from down the hall! I’ve never had Hakka food before but the young lady at the front helpfully explained to me the flavours of each dish and I ended up going with the chilli chicken dry and a Hakka town noodles. Both were absolutely delicious, it wasn’t just spicy but so flavourful! And it’s so fresh and you can really taste the quality. I’m now a big fan of Hakka food! Overall, great and friendly service, and amazing food. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!!

One of best in Barrie. I had chilli chicken with gravy and without gravy, both were awesome. Rice are complimentary with chicken and quantities are good for one person. Definitely going back there and highly recommended for indo-Chinese food.

Hidden gem! Easily the best Chinese food in Barrie. My wife has a lot of food allergies and they could not have been more helpful and accommodating. They make everything fresh to order and were happy to substitute ingredients to fit her needs. The hot and sour soup was the best we've ever had! On top of the incredible food the family that runs this place are so kind and inviting. We will be stopping here every time we're in Barrie from now on! Thank you Hakka Town, you guys are the best!
