Total disappointment. I used to love this place, but the quality of the food has totally fallen off a cliff. It must be a new chef or owner? I can't think of any other explanation for the total drop in quality. We ordered $100 worth of food and almost all of it was garbage. The General tsao chicken was bland how is that even possible?, the "homemade" dumplings were freezer burnt, the kung pao chicken had zero flavour it was basically just boiled chicken with steamed carrot and celery. The only think that tasted remotely like sichuan food was the Dan Dan noodle, but even that was just a tupperware full of cheap chow mein noodles with a little chinkiang vinegar and a tablespoon of fried pork. No Mala, no chili oil, no flavour. I posted a photo of the Kung pao chicken and the Dan Dan noodle because I honestly couldn't believe how bad it was. Total shame. This place used to be one of my favourites for good sichuan food. Won't be going back.
Ordered noodles and the “crispy tofu” with veggies. The veggies were not cooked- practically raw. The tofu was FAR from crispy- in fact it was soggy. This is the tofu in the photos. The noodles tasted and smelled strongly of plastic- we could not eat them. I also asked for a side of simple noodles- no veggies no meat or anything, but they came with lots of veggies. These were for my kid and she refused to eat them as it’s not what she asked for and not what we ordered. Disappointed to say the least and won’t be ordering again
Great dining experience. Been here three times. Loved Twice cooked beef, Eggplant and Fried Chicken bones Warning: Super hot red Chilies flakes and dust. Big menu, nice and quiet atmosphere and no noise at all. Very professional service.
The service is fast and the people are very nice. The food taste amazing with decent pricing. I would come back here any time. Wait time was a bit long on a busy weekend night, but it's worth it.
Number 3 on the combo deals menu seemed like a good deal until we got it home and opened the box. $28.99 for two meals. Way too much rice and not enough of the items you choose. Everything had a lot of sugar in the sauce and the chicken fried rice was dry and bland. Won’t be ordering there again. Shame bc Port Credit needed a good Chinese restaurant.
**update** Yeah.. something changed... food quality is down significantly. Very disappointing. Folks are still friendly but the food is kind of not good... **old review** This place is not going to knock your socks off with amazing food, but the food is delicious and with large portions. The employee's I've interacted with on the phone and for pick-up have been very friendly. I have ordered from them several times since they first opened and it has been consistently good. I enjoy the food but def come back because they are so friendly.
DID THEY CHANGE OWNERS? I ordered some takeout recently and it was very bad. I was shocked because I have ordered from this place about 10 times in the past and it is always very tasty. But it was totally different this time. The staff were different too, so I thought they changed ownership. The vegetables were cut into huge inedible pieces, the meat was poor quality and undercooked. This is a bummer since I really liked their food before. Not going to try it again though.
10/ 10 for customer service for the lady taking order and special compliments to the chef. There was a small miscommunication from my end but they went above and beyond to correct my order. So happy that this amazing restaurant run by amazing people popped up in our neighborhood. Will continue to order from here and spread the word. Additionally, food is delicious and quantity is great!
Supremely disappointing. One of the four dishes we ordered didn't arrive but there was a note on the receipt where someone wrote "out of stock" beside where they charged me for said item. Why didn't anyone tell us? Next, the restaurant doesn't answer the phone. After calling for HALF AN HOUR I left a voicemail. The chowmein was gross; the shrimp tasted old and tough, like they'd been frozen and thawed 10 times. The pork was fatty. The noodles were overcooked. The gyoza were a cheap, frozen bulk brand, the moo shu pancakes were stale and the filling itself was watery with hardly any meat. I can't find one good thing to say about my experience here except that I got a refund. Sorry.
High quality authentic food with plenty of heat. Chicken balls probably the best have ever had lots of chicken!!. Weird egg rolls filled with meat not sprouts. Good portions for the price but no discount for cash? Very nice people and will definitely be back again.
