Since our doors first opened in 1954, Canadian families have been coming back to Swiss Chalet generation after generation. Our rotisserie ovens only accept fresh (never frozen), grain-fed, Canadian Grade A chickens, because quality is all we know. So what will it be? A Quarter Chicken with fries?

The food was okay - that’s why they’re getting two stars. The staff however, seemed unattentive and unprofessional. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite run down and is in need of maintenance.

Online delivery is a horrible fail. Order took well over an hour and there was no note that there was a delay. When I phoned to check in they just said 'The kitchen is busy', I guess it's a Tuesday night rush. In any case if you can't make the delivery time you need to at least tell your customers - or at least pretend to care when they call in to see where the food for their family is.

Food was good! Unfortunately, our server was so rude. Her name is Josee. The sever was late to take our order. We were 4 adults & 6 kids. When we asked her when to be ready to take our order, she was unhappy. So we asked her to get another server to help us if she is not happy helping us. I was shocked with her reply when she said " you can go to some where else". I replied "are you kicking us out??" then she left & another server came to take our order. But that was enough to ruin our night!

Wow, had an experience similar to Jan at this Swiss Chalet location tonight, though a different server. The food was great, though the waitress had no interest in serving us and we were obviously a bother to have in the restaurant tonight (though it was not busy). We were 4 adults and 2 kids. After she bothered to take our order, I noticed that I could make a $5 donation to the Boys and Girls Club and get 5 kids meals. I asked her about it and she said they were not selling those anymore because they expire soon. I commented "They don't expire until Feb 28th...today is only Jan 22". She would not let me buy it therefore, no donation. I mentioned that this was my 3rd visit to Swiss Chalet in the past month and not a single server mentioned this to me. Then she commented "if I had to explain every offer to you, I'd be here 20 minutes". Huh? Is it not your job to inform me on what the restaurant has to offer? When our meals arrived, she handed EVERY (hot) plate to me to pass around the table...? Along with the hot tea for my Dad sitting the furthest from me. If I wanted to serve my family, I wouldn't have been out to a restaurant. She did not return to the table once during our meal (we had to steal ketchup from the table next to us). She came at the end of our meal to get the kids their desserts but they weren't done eating yet. She seemed very upset that I did not want the kids ice cream brought on her schedule and informed me that it would be 20 minutes before she came back (? again, restaurant not busy). She returned to the table 30 mins later...and FINALLY cleared the empty plates and fulfilled the kids dessert requests. As a busy hockey, dancing and swimming family, we do have to have some of our meals on the road...our next meal out will not be at Swiss Chalet, especially not this location. I've had much better service at McDonalds.
