Towa Sushi

Not a great place. Server was nice and friendly but service was terrible. Had to get her attention on 3 or 4 occasions, to order, ask for more water, more wasabi and pay the bill and there were about 4 tables with people in the restaurant so it wasn't busy at all. Bathrooms are extremely dirty though that doesn't affect the food, kind of makes you wonder what kitchen looks like. Food was decent but way better places in the city. This was our first time here and definitely wouldn't return.

The place is not very clean and the place was freezing. Also the bathrooms are horrid. The food was a bit more expense than a typical sushi trip but i feel they use quality ingredients so that was nice for sure. Its was also very strange being served by someone in jogging pants, just saying... even though the server was nice to us.

The rolls are huge, thick and fat! Good quality fish and delicious avocado. Nice complimentary miso soup and Japanese salad for appetizer. Fast and Good service too. I just don't understand how we were the only ones in on a Wednesday between 6-7pm.

Towa has never disappointed me. I just cannot find better sushi in Calgary. I am a big sushi goer and pricing does not affect where I go. Spicy tuna, Spicy salmon and black&white rolls are amazing and so is the Udon soup. The rolls are as fresh as can be in Calgary and rolls contain generous ingredients. Globefish and Kinjo just do not do it for me.
