The omakase is beautifully prepared and has a variety of dishes, so it's quite suitable for people who may not necessarily want to eat a lot of sushi. Really love the seasonal variation they have for the dishes
We had the Omakase for our anniversary dinner. We were very excited to be able to go to a more upscale Japanese restaurant in Burlington. We usually head to places in Toronto to eat fancier Japanese and we loved every bite. The Chawanmushi savoury egg custard dish was divine & we ate some dishes that we'd never had before. I especially loved the soup in the ironstone teapot. The sushi was also amazing. Would definitely come back & bring people. Elegant & simple decor and nice service. The quality is reflected in the pricing and should not be compared to the run of the mill sushi restaurants that are usual found in Burlington. which we also enjoy for our regular sushi cravings. If you looking for a authentic Japanese food, I highly recommend coming here.
Undoubtedly, the best Japanese restaurant in this area. Loved the food, perfectly done… beautiful to see, tastes even better. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere is very good. Worth every penny.
Best Sushi in Oakville-Burlinton-Hamilton, least 4-5 times visit every monthLunch+Dinner before covid, enjoyed their omakasa too. Best Chu-Toro and O-toro in the region. Must try Una-Don and Curry in their lunch menu. Quality went down a bit during Covid take out service and after reopening.
Excellent is the word that best describes this place. Decor and atmosphere are pleasant, the food is authentic, and delicious. The prices are appropriate given the quality of the ingredients and the final product. Update: 5 Years on, this restaurant is still delivering consistently delicious, well-made, authentic Japanese cuisine, and I can't wait to come back again.
beautiful food that is hidden in such a quiet plaza! must try! very authentic and the amount of unagi given in 1 piece of sushi is a bit bigger considering other unagi sushis i've tried in other restaurants.Food: 5/5
Excellent appetizers but sashimi poor quality, small shavings of tired fish, almost translucent. Servers are good but senior chefs not present, food prepared by anonymous young, probably trainees. Definitely not worth high prices they charge. But miso soup was very good! Don't be turned off by cheap tables, chairs and poor lighting in this place.
Good food but extremely pricy. Got the sukiyaki special and the beef was no more that 100grams. The sushi was okay. The sushi rice needs work. Nice sake.
Authentic Japanese experience with super high quality food. The variety of available sake is phenomenal too. My family favourite place to dine!
A little bit pricer than neighboring restaurants who offer the same level of quality and cuisine. We didn't try tbe sushi but we had unagi don kabayaki grilled eel on rice and I have to say that this is a dish that I order often whenever I find it on the menu and this one tasted different, I think there's a spice that they've used that other places don't usually use. My partner loved their unagi don. We had miso soup that was very heartwarming and needed on a cold gloomy day. We also tried their spinach salad, nothing really special about it. Also their seafood salad that was very average. Staff was very friendly, fast, and professional. Thank you.
