Excellent, attentive and knowledgeable staff. Not just a great chef but outstanding chef and amazing food! Very welcoming and very clean. Authentic atmosphere with beautiful wall art and stunning artistic dinner ware Great for a romantic dinner get away in your neighborhood!!! We will be back for sure, it was delicious. Can’t wait to come back for the chef’s special.
Best sushi restaurant I've ever been too! I don't think I can go anywhere else now it was that good. The mantis shrimp nigiri was one of my favorites but everything was excellent. The fish was all so fresh and you could really taste the quality. The service was great and it was nice chatting with the chef about the different types of fish they offer. Next time I think I'll do the omakase and let the chef do his thing. If you like authentic sushi this is the place to be. Wishing this restaurant lots of success!
Went for my wife's bday last week - was a great experience. The staff were extremely friendly, truly felt like the classic Japanese sushi experience. The food was incredible. The fish was very fresh and rice was immaculately seasoned my favourite part. Will definitely be returning !Food: 5/5
Great experience! Fresh ingredients and fishes! Enjoyed every single dish! Chef was very informative with each dish. We had the omakase at the bar
A small little place with very tasty sushi. They’re around 5-6 months being in business and it was a nice last minute decision to go to. We were pleasantly surprised. The sushi was great quality. We ordered a dragon roll, the Salmon Lover entree, and edamame. We were surprised with how tasty everything tasted, in particular, the spicy salmon avocado roll because other places, it’s more bland and not as flavorful! There was 1 waitress working and she was prompt and polite. The service was great. The place was very clean. For an a la carte place, we would definitely go back. Prices aren’t too far off from other a la carte restaurants. They’re pretty reasonable for the quality.
Had an amazing omakase sushi experience at Hoseki. It was a great dining opportunity where the chef has complete control over the food selection based on seasonal fish selections. The chef was super informative giving us his insights on the various fish and made outstanding recommendations. If you're a sushi lover, omakase is a must!
Best sushi in Burlington/Oakville area. I had an absolutely amazing experience at Hoseki. Quality of food/service was comparable to that of high end sushi place in Toronto but you can enjoy at more reasonable price. Ingredients were very fresh and garnishes on each sushi enhanced flavours. Each piece was served with perfect amount of wasabi and delicious house-made soy sauce. Last but not least Chef Tim and servers were very friendly which made my experience complete. I'm so glad I found this hidden gem in my neighborhood.
We had a fantastic dinner and left happy and full! The ambiance is cute and cozy and the chef and his wife make it a point to say hi and give recommendations. We had the nigiri / maki dinner, scallop roll and the double shrimp roll. So good!
Came here for lunch with my wife and baby. Most of my sushi experiences have come from AYCE restaurants but lately I have decided I no longer enjoy stuffing myself and want to opt for higher quality. As soon as our server brought out the sashimi platter we ordered, the first thing we did was dabble at the wasabi. This was already a notable difference in quality from any wasabi we have ever tried and we knew we were in for a treat. All said and done, we paid about double what we would have at an AYCE, but it was worth every single penny as everything was fresh and EXTREMELY tasty.
We just happened to be driving around the area and stumbled into this little gem.We had some of the best sushi here, everything is fresh, everything is authentic. The staff is so friendly and engaging, I highly recommend sitting at the bar table or near the chef and enjoy the experience. I live 1 hour and a half away and would happily drive here just to have it again
