Sushi Flamingo

Best sushi restaurant I've ever visited!!! When I first arrive at the restaurant, it starts with the pleasant customer service. The staff at this restaurant are kind, cheerful, and work quickly and efficiently. Of course, the sushi is very tasty. The avocado and tuna were very good, and the Big buddy roll is the best!!!! I've never had sushi like this in Japan, but it was just delicious! If I could, I'd come back again and again to try all the sushi! I highly recommend this Japanese restaurant in Vancouver!!!!

So far best sushi place I have visited in BC. Attentive service and fresh ingredients. The specials sushi taste like harmony. My suggestions: big buddy, mango special, the special with torched fish. I like the vegetarian rolls, the chef's wife favourite ones, see images the one with beet. Just be mindful to go to toilet before visiting, no wc on the premises.

Really fresh and flavourful sushi with vegetarian options too!. Everyone working here was warm and attentive. You can’t get sushi like this at affordable prices in Singapore, so I really appreciated this experience

Excellent sushi, the staff are trying so hard. This is a brand new establishment and the standards are very high, the environment is a little clinical but more than made up for by the warm and friendly welcome.

After a recommendation from my brother, we stopped in for lunch. They did not disappoint. We ordered the ebi mayo as an appetizer. It consisted of six large plump fried shrimp served over raw spinach, then covered with a sweet mayo topped with chopped walnuts. These were terrific! If I were to make one suggestion, I'd go lighter on the mayo. A nice drizzle on top would be perfect. We ordered the dynamite combo and salmon oshi sushi pressed and torched. The nigiri sushi were nicely made with just the right amount of rice. The salmon oshi sushi was well prepared. It was torched lightly without suffering from that butane taste one sometimes get. Although my order did not come with it, our server was kind enough to give me a bowl of miso as well. The service is excellent: friendly and welcoming. They even threw in a complimentary spicy tuna roll! A nice addition to the neighborhood. Will definitely be back!

Great 3-man show! They care about doing it right and that means you may need to exercise a little patience not excessively so and totally worth the wait. Quality of ingredients was top-notch look at that unagi!. 10 out of 10, would recommend.

The best place for Sushi in kits here is Sushi Flamingo. The chef and staff are unique and very knowledgeable about Sushi. Still new but there’s authentic Sushi. Try it and you’ll definitely love it.

An unassuming place - but great prices for high quality sushi. And the proprietor was delightful! We’ll be back.

This place is incredible! I am visiting Vancouver for work and heard the sushi here was great but having just been in Japan I was skeptical. No longer! The chef/owner is amazingly friendly and prepares everything fresh for you right there on the spot. The combinations of flavours in the special rolls are a real delight!
