Sushi Hanabi

I expected the food to be better than this from reading the reviews and seeing the pictures. We ordered the combo and got to try a bit of many things. Sushi wasn’t fresh at all, even the slices of lemon looked like they were cut a few hours prior. The rice with beef forgot what it was called was salty, the rice was too wet. Other dishes were okay, nothing impressive.

The restaurant interior is like a fairy tale The sushi I ate here was astonishing. It was awesome! Even though we visited at a busy time, the waitress took care of us delicately. All the staff in the store were super friendly. If you visit on a busy time, you may have to wait a bit, but you will get the best sushi I promise.

My husband and I went for lunch here and we had the best experience. The presentation of the sushi looked delicious. We love that there were plenty of options for us vegetarians! The ingredients tasted super fresh. Our server was really friendly and attentive with a good knowledge of the menu. This will absolutely be our go-to sushi spot in the future.

It was a great decision to go there. The appetizers were awesome! All foods were so fresh and delicious with friendly serving/explanations. We will definitely visit again.Food: 5/5

BEST SUSHI I HAVE EVER HAD!! Truly such fresh, authentic, and delicious sushi. Also the service was so lovely! We had Carole as our server and adored her. Went twice in one week during our vacation and already cannot wait to return one day!

The place was small and we were seated outside at first but moved indoors afterwards. The staff didn’t know how to turn on the heater at first. They also had a heater inside which seemed like a fire hazard. Sushi rolls were well made and very tasty. Could use a bit less sauce but still enjoyed them.

Hanabi is an amazing cozy little restaurant with the best Japanese food I’ve had in Vancouver. The YakiSoba is amazing and so is the Salmon Nigiri. If you’re reading this, you should definitely try it out.

The taste is ok but the way they handle the meat doesn’t look right for me. They had a lot of raw meat at the dining area. It was really unpleasant to have lunch with some containers full of raw meat front of you. I don’t think the dining area in a restaurant should be the storage area.

The taste and freshness of the sushi is unbelievably great compared other Japanese restaurants near downtown. They got reasonable prices for awesome dishes here. Would definitely go again for a great experience!!

Cozy atmosphere and great service. Rolls were great, sashimi and sushi were moderate.
