This place is very professional and can be relied upon when selling gold to provide top prices! The staff are both knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal with! I highly recommend them to anyone who wishes to sell gold jewelry, both of premium type or broken items. They also sell gold and fine jewelry!
I went in to see if this store was just like any other currency exchange store and left pleasantly surprised. My bullion was weighed and differentiated from other coins I brought in so I got above spot price for some limited addition coins. The gold was x-rayed and analyzed for the institution they originated from. There was no lineup, only two staff at desks making eye contact with manners I was surprised by. The reviews from other Google reviewers was what sent me to this outlet and they were right. I'll be back for buying or selling!
Prices are competitive, and it’s nice because they list them on their website so you can check ahead. The people working here are polite, professional, and attentive. I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes. They have a little box of toys so kids have something to distract them while you’re there. The entry is gated, but my stroller fit through when they help, and they said a motorized wheelchair has even fit through. This is not a pawn shop; they specialize in metals and jewelry.
Went to surrey gold the second time and was helped by Amman, she was so calm. I had lot of small stuff and it took quite a while to check and quote the price but Amman had so much patience. I was very happy with the service provided by her. Got a very good price for my jewellery. First time Karla helped me and she is just as good. Both the girls are very professional and have very good customer service skills.
Why didn't I discover them sooner! For the last 15 years I went to my Bank where I had an account. Recently I was told by RBC that only precious metals, coins etc. bought from them in the past would be accepted! So does that mean that what would be considered "Legal Tender" is only legal if the Bank says so ?! Apparently they can do what they like! Anyway it's their loss. Previously I had to put up with Staff that didn't know how to fill out the forms, the Bank charging a handling fee, and once they even put the money in someone else's Account! Incompetence is the only way to describe Banks. I did have someone mention Surrey Gold on King George Blvd. between 102 and 104th. Pleasant and professional, no fuss, no waiting, no hidden fees, got my cheque in 15 minutes. Thank you! It was worth the drive from Mission B.C.
I brought a box of my jewelry that I don't use. I had no idea of their value and I was nervous at first because I didn't know what to expect or how it works. My friend accompanied me and we went to the Surrey location. An employee, Mehak, assisted us. She was very friendly and articulated the value of my jewelry. She was very helpful!! I felt comfortable as she evaluated my items. Professional and honest. I'll definitely go back and my friend is wanting to return to bring her own jewelry!

In the 3-4 times I have visited Surrey Gold the same young lady met with me and each time she was very polite, professional and answered my many questions relating to their industry and processes. As well explained and double checked the data she was entering on her computer. The whole experience was very pleasant and I have recommended Surrey Gold to a dear friend who had me do some business on her behalf , and she was really impressed with her payout. Nothing is hidden, everything pertaining to your visit is done openly and in my presence. I will patronize this business again as well as recommend to others. Aman was excellent, she gave us more than a fair amount for our gold jewelry. She was also able to tell us that the sapphire in one of our rings was not real when all this time we thought it was real. She is knowledgeable, friendly and on our side. She have us an excellent rate for all our gold jewelry. I highly recommend Surrey Gold and especially Aman.
I’ve been to 2 other stores that buy and sell I gold in the past - this store was the best by far I have been to. The staff were very nice and helpful, and the whole process was very transparent and easy. I had complete trust that everything was being done honestly and I ended up actually getting a higher price for my gold than I was expecting.
