Always go here for my knives and gear purchases first. Have purchased many items from here over the years. Staff is always nice, and willing to help with what ever you may be looking for. Regularly recomend them to people I know looking for quality knives.
I am in sales and try my best to provide every customer with great service, they do not here. I was flush with cash and wanted to see a knife I was considering buying but because the clerk couldn't afford it he assumed I couldn't either? It was only $1000, don't judge people by how they look or dress as I get many great customers not in suits!!!!! Never getting my $
Overall pleased with the amount of stuff they have in store, huge selection but since it's in the mall you're going to pay the price sad to say but there's not many places that you can get security gear so you're kind a left going there or buying online. Overall never had a problem with staff they ask if you're looking for anything specific right when you come in and if you're not they kind of just leave you alone to browse but on other cases depending on the staff in the store at the time some will follow you like a wet blanket.
I went there with some family on a Sunday to just poke around and see what supplies they had for camping/emergency kits. This is a great store to poke at the nooks and crannies to find deals. The prices are pretty fair, but like any other store you have some higher priced and some lower priced items. I bought a 100ft of good quality paracord for $12.95, which is a little cheaper than the stuff I got a Cabela's. I was looking for a knife holster for my Woodline SOG and they really went out of their way to see if they could find me one. When they realized they didn't have a fit for my knife, they actually told me where I could get a custom made one! Unlike some of the other reviewers unfortunate experiences, I found the guys were all really friendly and extremely helpful. We will definitely be back =
Really like Supply Sergeant, there is always enough staff on hand to take care of you. They may not always have all product in inventory but if you can wait they will order it for you. The selection of knives is great but I would like to see more variety tactical clothing something like 5.11, Vertx or even TAD. Overall, I am a big fan. Thanks
Great store to visit. The staff actually try to help you pick something you NEED rather than want, and if its an Airsoft gun you want and they dont have it, they can order it. The considerable updating from RWA is also a nice little addition since its adds a fair bit of new gizmo's to buy. The knife selection while not as wide and varied as other stores, is pretty decent, abiet with all the same purpose in mind. As a nice little bonus, they will tell you were to get things they dont have, and they show a large amount of patience and consideration to those who treat them with respect. The selection of camo is fairly good stuff and they have just about all the gear you can get. Gun mags for non NATO do show up from time to time but are as common as some other places, but space is limited when you have surplus, knives and swords, airsoft and whatever else they have crammed in there. My only current concern is those price tags, but being inside WEM where renting a space is almost abysmally expensive, I can suck it up and buy it. plus its a nice location if your not feeling like going anywhere by car as the bus terminal is about a 1km from the store.
I am a little confused as to some of the other reviews as I have had noting but good experiences with Supply Sergeant. By far the best knife selection in Edmonton and good quality stuff too, not just like the Bear Grylls stuff you see everywhere else. The Spyderco's can be a bit pricey but I challenge you to find a better price on a Benchmade anywhere else, even online. Lot's of surplus stuff some good some bad but fairly priced, not my forte but some love it. Their airsoft rifle selection is small but to my knowledge is good quality, but it being in the mall I am not surprised with the space available. Their airsoft pistol selection is awesome, nothing clear or smoked out which is a nice change from the other airsoft places in Edmonton. Plenty of swords, but again not really my thing. Staff are friendlyusually end up getting asked if I need anything by most of them and seem to have a fair amount of product knowledge, I've yet to be bullshitted on any info just to make a sale which is a nice change from electronic stores. Overall I think its a great store with good variety and staff, definitely one of the most unique stores I have been to, definitely a place to check out.
terrible customer service and way way overpriced items I saw airsoft gun there for $450 and in princess auto $150 same gun same everything. The people working there don't know anything about anything I remember asking if they had sword canes and the guy had such a spaz-out yelling there illegal to own infact there not illegal to own many places in Edmonton sell them. And when you go into the store they completely ignore you and don't ask to view an item as they will either pull it out and hold it for you because they think you cant handle it or they look at you in disgust for wasting their time. horrible horrible horrible and ive been there several times no improvment
Professional and knowledgeable. My first trip to West Ed Mall was in 2008, and I bought a hard to find pouch at Supply Sergeant, as I had been looking for a solution for weeks. Being from out of province last week I returned for my second trip ever to Supply Sergeant, myself Military, a family member RCMP, and a friend AB Sheriff walked in to pickup a few needed items. Fenix light and charger, pouches, radio holder, CR123's can't get enough. The female staff member who knew all the specs without looking on the box and gave her recommendations made shopping quite enjoyable. Even while at the counter, I overheard their staff discussing blade length legalities and another explaining why they didn't carry lock picking tools to "eager" young adults nearby. Well done from Ottawa.
I've dealt with Rob , Ida and Gary for years . They're absolutely awesome to deal with . Always feel welcome and at home . If they don't have what I'm looking for and i usually have tall request and order they will get it . It angers me to see some people bashing their staff who are either new and learning or seasoned veterans who do grow tired of people watching American Sniper or other great movies and walk in expecting to be outfitted like a movie character for nothing . It's a business guys !!!! And the amount that Ida and her staff are GOUGED a month to be in that mall is more than some people yearly salary. I personally am glad that they have such a great store that I never walk out of without buying something considering the headaches that come with operating it . Added to which unlike other places they Carrey alot of BDU and original military items which takes alot more work to aquire Than reproduction items let's everyone have a little patience with others , and too some people . Maybe learn how to read so that you can know their return policy . To Rob ,Ida and Gary and the funky bunch . Keep up the good work !!!!!! Ryan ,
