Super 8 Rochester/Fairgrounds Area

The entire hotel is shopworn. A leftover free from 60,'s. The breakfast was disappointing. The people were pleasant in helping deal with heating system problems.it is easy to get to Mayo by car or shuttle. There is a Denny's next door. I would not choose to stay here again unless they did a total remodel.

The room was a bit overpowered by the smell of their air fresheners... it was quite a pungent, but doable. The soda machine took my $1.85 (Debit card transaction), and the front desk clerk argued that it didn't charge me... so I looked on my mobile banking, and it DID.. so she refunded my $1.85 with attitude... oh well. I'd stay again.. but bring my own soda, and crack the windows. The price was right. The pool needs to be cleaned.

Shuttle does not run on weekends. Dingy hallways. Door did not shut by itself. No microwave in room. Refrigerator was not on. Tub was nice. Some of the staff were friendly but some were not... No benches outside to wait for shuttle. Just missing a lot of usual comforts....

I rate this Motel 0 stars out of 5. Vilma at front desk was not friendly, cooperative or nice. Room was musty smelling so to get some much needed fresh air, I opened the screenless window only to find a huge spotlight from a brick building just across the parking lot. Then to make matters worst, behind this Motel is factory which has gigantic fans blowing to make sound like there is a jet engine flying in your room all night long. Also this place is very creepy dirty....so my suggestion is to find any other place than this to stay at and you won't walk from the place feeling dirty like I just did.

The first room we got smelled and run down. We asked for an upgrade and the front desk for angry. Even though we were willing to pay. We got a room that was on the 3rd floor which was more updated but I just feel like the rooms need a little more work for the price you guys are charging. Breakfast is great. Location is great. Just needs a little more work done on it.
