Had a horrible night here. Not all the hotel's fault. The room was adequate, although I found it more expensive than it should have been. Unbeknownst to me, I was staying in prime territory for people who go to Country and Western concerts at a few local places, and that night was just nuts. There was actually a point where I didn't feel safe. If you choose to go, call ahead and make sure it's not a big concert weekend.

Very outdated with rooms that smell like and old ashtray. Do yourselves a favor for $10 more go to confortable inn. The heater won't be noisy, and you won't hear all the outdoor noise.

Really great time,room was well kept,the property was well looked after and the front reception was very nice. I also can't thank the bikers from port Dover for throwing my boys a rain coat to sleep with those three nice girls from the bar. Would defiantly recommend

Perfect place to stay if you want to feel dirty, cheap, and degraded or if you want a case of RINGWORM!!! The housekeeping staff and jessica the night attendant are the only redeeming aspects of this dump. Also, don't expect to be treated reasonably by ken or aman if you are a reasonable person. Quoted 500 a week but after spending 4 grand for 40 days ken kicked me and my dog to the curb at 10pm on the coldest night of the year for under a hundred bucks that was due to come at 11pm with my boyfriend's return from work. Never once did they clean the room or offer fresh sheets - in 40+ days!! My door lock broke and it took them over an hour to get me back in - bf was late for work, then took 2 weeks to fix it making me a prisoner in this room. Not to mention the dilapidated furniture and the smelly beds, the cold coming through the undrywalled back wall of the bathroom cabinet gave me such a bad chill that a headcold kept me in bed for most of my stay. The pop machine dispenses frozen tins that explode and ruin your things and leave you with flat mix. Breakfast? Well the waffle maker is almost always broken or out of batter but stale bread and grotty store brand muffins are plentiful. There was actually decent muffins Christmas morning so there really is a Santa i suppose. In-room coffee was great but I was never given a second packet...in 40+ days. The lobby coffee is horrible. The sign should read drug dealers and prostitutes are welcome since they seem to be able to stay despite owing more than a hundred dollars. Drunk cowboy boot stomping starts at 1am finally giving way to sounds of serious humping by dawn. Horrible place. I would have been afraid to leave the room from Thursday to sunday if not accompanyed by the dog. In hindsight i would have been better off eating 10 months of a 1year lease for a bachelor apartment to cover for my short term accomodation need. Do not expect to sell your home and find an apartment in guelph in a reasonable period of time. But be prepared to not wind up here. My last evening there ken called and hung up at least a dozen times. Three times in a one hour period called to berate me for not being able to pull 100 bucks out of thin air. Harrassment extrodinaire considering the 61 dollars turns to 140 on a blink of a falsification on their end with no proof to back it up. One morning at 630am I was told we owed 60 dollars. By 4pm it was 480. I won't be able to trust anyone that resembles aman who at first did appear to be a cheerful and ethical businessman. I will be scarred from this bullying and the brutality of this experience for years. Geez forgot a few other things. Needed my own tools to make the room safe. Large wall art was unsecured and just resting on a thin edge above the head of the bed. No traps on the sink meant dismantling the drain to retrieve anything dropped. After clearing out years of gunk and debris the sink actually drains now. I washed cobwebs out of the corners and grimy handprints off the walls. Cleaned the air filters in the bathroom and the heater that were choked with crud. Tightened screws in the dresser to square it up so the drawers stayed closed. The freezer/fridge required defrosting before being able to fit a packaged pizza pop in. The cable box in both rooms provided nothing but fuzzzzz but in the second room I decided to dismantle and rewire it so it now provides a clear picture. Adjusted the hinges so the bathroom door would close. Generally besides the dog hair i left the room 5000 times better than i found it. Under the watchful eyes of the Guelph Police who are ever present either there or across the road shining their headlights right into your window, I remained helpful and cheerful and paid much more than they quoted me. I even pointed out that Elora is known for its GORGE (not George as their home page suggests) and provided tips to save them money on hydro costs by lowering the lcd backlights. And despite this horror story that i smiled and put up with, the heartless thug ken still kicked me out. It was -21 degrees and my car an hour away.

Great value for what you pay!!! Rooms are nice, staff are nice and its a great place to stay the night or nights
