Used to be a great place to go visit. BUT. The mcClintock’s have closed public access to the beach but yet are getting government funding. Not cool. Not to mention all the fires out there in the last couple years. A little Suspicious.
If i could give no stars i would. I just called to ask some questions to do with this park and the woman was not professional. She cut me off and was straight up rude then hung up after i stated she was being rude. Not very welcoming to someone that WAS interested in staying for a weekend to a week. Due to me asking questions about my boat and if there was access ect. Only seasonals have access to the boat launch/dock which to me is a little off considering if you pay to stay here. If you're a resident of the town you can fill out a request form to use the boat launch but not to paying customers. What a joke this park is.
Excellent park, great helpful staff with a laid back casual atmosphere. Yes the lake acess is 100% private but also adds to the peace on the lake and helps the fisheries recover from years of over fishing and abuse from local townies. I for one am glad the lake is closed and has time to recover. Thanks mcclintocks trailer park for doing your part in protecting the lake and its wide range of biodiversity. Sincerely; a fish loving guy
Trailer park and camping area for 10 months out of the year... was considering this place to park an RV at and survive the winter, but this wasnt possible as my research concluded...
This park is very run down. The owners dont care to put things in for the tenants like a park or even a washroom. They just keep upping the fees, putting more lots in and not doing anything in the park. If you have kids all their is to do is go to the weedy, smelly beach or use the 2 ghetto swings. For the price this park charges you'll for sure find one better. This park is more for adults who like to do nothing but drink. The park rules are also 10 pages long but are only enforced if youre not friends with the owners.
Owners are aggressive with public/trailer owners, park isn't maintained well, honestly just save yourself the hassle and stay away, lake is nice but like other reviewers have said it is weedy.
THIS IS DOCK REVIEW: absolutely do not take your Seadoo boat speedster on this lake. Your jets will get jammed with weeds. Apparently this lake is notorious for it as I was told by boaters. The one star is because noone st the actual boat dock told us this when we launched. We were stuck within 5 minutes and luckily another boater pulled us out. We spoke to the owner in hopes of getting 50% of our money back and they just said a strict no. No apologies or anything. $20 for being in the water for 5 minutes when it's a lake known to jam this type of boat without being told is ridiculous.
Great place, friendly staff and overall a resort I will keep visiting.
All around nice place for a visit or to learn how to water ski : the restaurant has delicious food and all the park residents are very friendly.
Great place to park your trailer with big lots. My family has enjoyed it here for 10 years now.
