Super 8 by Wyndham Abbotsford BC

This was the only place we could book when we were trying to get a room. We stayed for 5 nights. We had no issues at all. Anytime we needed towels or anything, the staff was great. Some staff was a little more informative than others when it came to information about the town, but all tried to offer information when I asked. We all enjoyed the pool and water slide. The location could not be beat, close to everything.nnThe breakfast was good. I liked that the waffle maker was in the back and they brought them out instead of having the guests make them, I felt like it was faster that way and less messy. I do wish they had more gluten free options; only boiled eggs and yogurt for those wondering.nnOverall we had a blast and would stay again. It wasn't a Hilton, but it was affordable and all that we needed and plenty accommodating for the time we were there.

The room was clean and the bed quite comfortable. Lots of huge towels.nBreakfast was basic but more than adequate.nHard boiled eggs, yogurt, toaster waffles, toast and cold cereal available until 10 AM. Coffee, tea and ice water in the lobby 24/7nThis is a family friendly hotel so there were lots of children the pool has a very fun slide and was well used when we were there.nGreat location for travellers right off the freeway and surrounded by every sort of restaurant

Not good. Only booked this hotel cause it was close to the hospital and the cheapest aroundclearly for obvious reasons. The room was not very clean, the bathroom was the worst. The was long dark hair everywhere, an old hair tie in the middle in the floor, remnants of hair and specs of stuff in the bathtub, so much grime on the baseboards. It clearly wasn’t cleaned, and hasn’t been deep cleaned in a WHILE. Comfort wise the beds were OKAY, but all they had for a blanket/comforter was one of those super thin old fleece blankets and nothing else, and it was VERY worn. There was an armchair in the main area of the room that was covered in stains, and the room had a musty smell. The tv was tiny, maybe 16”. Also, upon checking out, the man messed up and made checkout a nightmare, he was also very hard to understand. This room was $218. Also, a few police cars were in front arresting an erratic homeless man. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Beds were comfortable. Rooms clean. … the tub is odd shaped at the bottom and the slip mat was dry rotted- I asked for a second one and it too was dry rotting and falling apart.nnBathroom fan is broken.nnWe didn’t notice until the next day but there are ants in the bathroom. Bathroom sink doesn’t flow. No coffee filters for coffee.nnthe “breakfast” was horrible. It was so sparse- the waffles - they make and then put in a warmer. Boiled eggs are just left on the counter without chilling. They did have a little bit of yogurt, they also had bread and a choice of Frosted Flakes or fruit loops. The hotel was full. There were 6 apples. No bananas, no bagels. No pastries. Most of the food containers for break fast were at least 1/2 empty and this was when they opened at 6. I imagine after 7-8 there’s no food at all.

I booked this hotel last minute as we ended up staying in Abbotsford for the weekend. This was the closest hotel from the place we had events. I checked in almost midnight with my 2 small dogs. The staffs in this hotel seem to have no great experience with customer service. The Indian guys who was on duty June 15th for that overnight shift has no sense of care and respect. He’s just there to check in people, doesn’t talk like someone who loves doing his job. He was always talking with someone on his earphones. The service was way obvious for a 2 or 3 star hotel. The room was okay, the toilet wasn’t flushing we had to fix it, cause it was past midnight, the bathroom doors doesn’t lock. Which we didn’t mind because we checked in last and leaving the next day. Im the morning I called to inform the front desk if we can check out at noon. The lady says she will call us back, I mean come on you can check in a minute and tell me on the phone I can wait. But it’s okay, not okay was she never called back! Worst part was around 11:30am there’s a housekeeper cleaning the next room and she always kept on trying to unlock our door, which obviously she was never informed that we were checking out at noon. But the most important thing I noticed with this hotel’s house keepers never say “HOUSEKEEPING” and “KNOCK” before you even try opening the door. Like as in no words at ALL!!! The door was obviously bolted but still she tried unlocking the door. I hope this hotel management will take action and do something about this!!! Their staffs needs proper training like a lot of training!! Not worth the money even if it’s with a great price, I would never again stay there. The location was the best but other than that. This place is a negative ZERO star. Please don’t waste your time booking in this hotel. I honestly based all this with my experience today. Go spend you money somewhere nicer. I was so UPSET with the experience.
