Myst try! I got the oxtail combo during lunch. The portions are very generous as you can see from the picture AND that picture was taken after I had eaten 1/3 already!!! The oxtail was cooked just right, the meat was not tough unlike other reviews I have read and very flavourful. The sauce of the oxtail mixed with the rice and beans was just perfect! I would totally recommend this restaurant!!! I would go back to try the jerk chicken and the goat curry!! Parking: Lots of parking spots available in the plaza. Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant easily accessible via wheelchair.
Pretty good Caribbean food has the curry goat and rice combo. The goat was a bit fatty for my taste. Also had festivals and fried plantains on the side
The food I received was just....garbage, the soup was like dirty water, no flavor what so ever. The chicken was blah, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! THEY JUST GET WORSE, NO IMPROVEMENT.
The food is not bad but there are things I just would not eat from there, knowing that is it not owened by a real Jamaican person, it makes it hard to know who is cooking the food. I will say that the employees all appear to be predominantly Jamaicans My children absolutely love the fry and BBQ chicken there. I haven't tried it.... Tried their red peas soup and wouldn't eat it again. Overall, this is commercially tasting Jamaican food and just not authentic enough for my taste.
When I first got there, the girl at the front ignored me. It didn't seem like she wanted to be there or assist customers. Then she was rude and huffing the whole interaction when ordering my food. The food was not good and had very little meat pieces and most pieces were mainly fat. For the quality of food, $34 for 2 meals was not worth it. And for the rude service and food, I would not go back again.
Last couple of times I come here something is wrong with the food. Just bought lunch and the BBQ chicken is cold and taste like it's going bad. The one thing that have been consistently good is the festival, until today as it too taste stale. Either they're reusing the cooking oil too much, not handling the food properly, changed Chef or something. Whatever it is, the quality of the food is gone. Total waste of my money.
I’m bought a curried goat, oxtail and 2 red peas soups at this restaurant and the food was the most distasteful Jamaican food I’ve ever had! The soup was tangy, like no red peas soup should be tangy and taste like tomato soup. The Curied goat was bland and full of fat. They used sheep meat not real goat meat. The oxtail was not bad but please stop putting sugar in it. I just lost $61, I’m very disappointed.
Their Food is good and overpriced ! The Staff especially female staffs are too pompous and arrogant. I went there today July 15, 2022 around 2;00 - 2;15pm to grab Lunch. Said Hello to alert them a customer is waiting to be attended to as there was nobody at the cash register. The arrogant slim lady who saw me from where she was standing just look up and snub me. I knocked on the counter top to sensitize her of my presence and the she yelled ;What !!! . Reluctantly she took my order and guess what ! She packaged the order and instead of handing it over to me , she threw it to the counter Top and without a word went away. I reported her attitude to her mail co-worker who eventually came out from Pantry in her Presence. She said nothing and there was no sign of remorse. I returned the Food and demanded for a refund. What a place.
The food was decent tasting, but the amount of oil in the curry chicken is ridiculous. When I asked the staff if it's normal for it to be that oily, she said that she doesn't think so... But she served it anyways
By far the worst service and food I have ever had from a sunrise.. the lady had the worst attitude and the food was some kind a special..it was 10 dollar look at it..and taste nasty! Like the ladies attitude
