Twice As Nice

Wow. One of the best serving of fried chicken that I've had in a while - flavourful and reasonable in portion. Only negative: Cashier and servers are very disorganized wait time was 20 minutes, and they forgot my order. Menu is not clearly displayed always helpful to see items listed on a menu board. Although I loved their fried chicken, I may go back.

Avoid this place. The older women working at this location have a really nasty attitude towards young people. My first online order, through Uber eats… the chicken was fine, however, The first time I walked into twice as nice the lady at the cashier looked me up and down with envy in her eyes.. Always listen to your intuition. I knew something was off. Furthermore, I ordered today, the 3rd time , the same thing same week; so I became familiar fairly quickly to these women.. I was served uncooked chicken that caused me to throw up immediately & no I’m not pregnant. You can tell the chicken was preheated and not cooked fresh/properly. Disgusting place. I don’t ever write reviews unless necessary. There will definitely be an investigation, know that this place will be out of business very soon for the lack of accountability and not following food safety guidelines.

Ordered the large Jerk Chicken w/ oxtail gravy. Unfortunately, it didn’t come with coleslaw and wasn’t offered, so I’m not sure if they have any. Portion was decent, chicken was tender, I wish there was more of a kick of heat. Rice was was good, fluffy. Oxtail gravy was really good, had a sweet taste that I don’t normally love, but it was well balanced. I got lucky and found two small pieces of oxtail under my jerk chicken. Oxtail was tender, lots of flavour. Portion 5/5 Taste 4/5 Heat 2/5 Value 3/5 no coleslaw Overall 3.5/5 I’ll go back for the Oxtail, which seems to have some heat.

When we arrived the display case was empty, so I ask her if they still had food. She was very rude and right there I decided to tell everyone whats what with this place. Its not an attractive place. Pictures to prove it. Well then I got home and started eating. The portions were large, a good deal for some the presentation poor. The oxtail was full of sugar, not a Jamaican requirement. This whole experience was a mess.

Great service! The people that work here are friendly and funny! The food is just AMAZING. If you are looking for some tasty Caribbean food in Scarborough this is THE place to go. Good portion. Prices are a bit on the higher scale, however, the food is worth every penny!!!!!!Food: 5/5

Food is Excellent! Cashier is a rude lady. No Coleslaw on my 3 large orders. She embarrassed everyone ordering. Not nice! My cousin referred me to this restaurant but oh boy, I had a bad, bad experienced. Very stressful! Nov. 3, 2022 @2-2:30pm

The absolute best Caribbean food around. Jamaican food is one of my favorites. Since I travel around the GTA for work I have tried a number of different places. This is my favorite. I have tried their oxtail, goat, cow foot stew, King fish, jerk pork etc. All were exceptional. I don't know if it's grandma's handed down recipes or what but it's fantastic.

At work all day, and stopped in Twice As Nice for some west Indian food. The wait to order the food took at least a half an hour and the cashier was not at all welcoming! She looked extremley miserable. After ordering the wait to get the food was at least an hour wait!! The Fry chicken was sooo salty. It's just not great. Don't waste your time and money

The service a bit slow but the food is good

Food was ok, could've been better. Asked for oxtail gravy, rice was barely touched with it. Service leaves much to be desired, workers arguing about orders, lack of communication about wait time, not enough customers for such a long wait time. Physical appearance needs a facelift. There is potential in the place. Training in customer service is a start.
