Pjays Take Out

We came by P Jays Take-Out last week-end and we were thrilled by the variety of authentic dishes offered and we were very satisfied with our order. We had a small Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat and Cow Foot dinner, a small Peas Stew and a couple of Beef Patties. Overall, the food was flavorful and well-cooked. Perhaps, a little less spicy than other places but, that was just fine for us. Also, the small dinner portions were quite filling with a good amount of meat so, we think that the value was reasonable. The service was very friendly and it didn’t take long to get our order ready.

My go to patty place. Been coming here for years. I Always get the Frozen beef patty box $19/dozen so I can enjoy It at home whenever I want. Pop it in the oven at 400F for 20-25 min and it’s like being transported to Jamaica. The outside is nice and crispy and the beef filling actually has spice to it. There are also vegetable and chicken options. I don’t have pictures of a baked patty because I can’t wait to eat it each time, I always forget to snap a photo first!! I’ll try to remember next time and add it to the review.

Food tasted good but for the price the small goat portion size was smaller than I expected. The plantain was ripe and sweet. I wasn’t a fan of the coleslaw.

First time here and I must say, it didn’t disappoint. I’ve tried many Jamaican restaurants around and this one tasted the most authentic to what I remember from Jamaica. Patty is also very juicy and tasted super fresh. I had the small curried goat and it was flavourful and filling. Will definitely go back and recommend to others.

Order was from May 2020 my friend put me on to these patties and so I bought them for my family and they loved them! When I used to eat them I remember it having the perfect amount of spice and flavour. Combination between runny and firm filling—it was perfect! Had their veggie patty and loved the spice in their as well. The patty crust is one of my faves for sure!

3.5* better than ok. Got the jerk chicken. Certainly has good flavors, but I found that the chicken was a little dry. Not just the skin, but rather the actual meat underneath. Maybe because it's the first week in January and business isn't as busy and hence the chicken was left longer. Don't know. The Cole slaw salad was fresh and good. For the price to proportions, it was a little more expensive. The beef patty was ok. Small, but the crust was flaky and thin.

Yuuuuummmy !! Love the food here their rice and peas is the bomb! Has this fluff to it and its soooo good ! I've never ate rice and peas like these guys and I've eaten Jamaican food plenty of times! It's worth going and going again ! The girl who's at the front she is soft spoken however she is great !! Answers questions if you need to ask! Also one thing u better have cash they only take cash its a small joint but its worth checking out! You won't be disappointed! Still need to try their jerk heard it's good but they run out quick time so that can suck sometimes they can be done serving jerk chicken by 3 pm which sucks as they only stay open till 6 : please stay open later on the weekday until 8 pm at least would be nice : lol .. Anyhow give them a try I will be coming back soon again !! There patty is good too can't complain and they make it there too from what I'm told!!!

Finally had the pleasure to stop by here today. Their menu seems a bit basic as their patties is what they focus on. Their homemade style patties are very delicious, caution blow before you invest as you will burn your mouth. I found there was not as much meat as desired and it seems a little watery however it's worth a try. Five stars

For my first time at P Jays I had a very pleasant experience…. The food is served hot and fresh … the faculty is very neat clean and organized ….. customer service is amazing ….. I loved the beef patty and red pea soup that they had on the menu … I will be back to try many more of their food options …. The test was finding this location…. It is not easily seen from the street and there is no signs to show it’s located off Kennedy…….i was brought here by a friend that was familiar with the restaurant…. Still smiling and thankful for being brought for my patty…..

I have been going to PJ’s for years now . Myself and my boyfriend but today Thursday I ordered some fricassee chicken and observe not one but two of these long hair looking things mix in with the chicken. I throw one out but when I saw the other I dump the meal . I was nauseous.
